Tube site worth it in 2023?

I'd like to preface that I'd be new to the industry, but am decently aware of the industry and its players. And I have experience creating, running, and maintaining complex sites used by millions of users from scratch. And running ads, getting extremely creative with monetization to squeeze money out of such projects, but all non-adult.

So when I came across and was able to nail down a very solid and continuous traffic source for a sort of "tube site", I needed to know if its worth the effort. Knowing that adult networks payout a fraction of traditional networks, can a site be sustained with adult ad networks (exoclick, trafficstars, adsterra, juicyads, whitelabeled cams, etc)? Given the dynamics, a realistic goal is to hit tens of millions in monthly impressions, almost entirely tier 1 (80%+). But that comes with server costs, storage costs, then potentially CDNs etc -but I have the experience to keep infra costs very low.

Would love to hear the experiences of other site owners working in a similar traffic range (x mil per mo) and others who have experience with these networks, and potentially some roundabout numbers. Feel free to ask for more reasonable details.

I would say no, my last successful run with a tube site was in 2015

maybe yes if you have super good traffic

What kind of dumb fuck question are you asking? Can you not make a coffee shop because Starbucks? Can you not run for President because Trump? Can you not create a loan company because... Because...

You get the idea.

Yes. You can create a new tube site and you can do extremely well with it. Heck, I know of several people who created theirs in the past 2 years and are killing it.

The difference between killing it and not killing it is you. Good luck.

V_rocks makes sense. I can definitely also attest to your concern about infrastructure costs. Keeping costs lower than income is the biggest trick with a tube site. We work with all of our customers who run tubes to make sure the costs are manageable. Let me know if you'd like to talk about servers for this project.

Why would you waste super good traffic on a tube site?
