Did woke (go broke) affect porn sales?
 

Going woke has been one of the greatest marketing disasters for businesses.

But porn was not excluded from woke, as a few years ago many sites posted on this and other forums in great excitement on how they were seeking to be 'ethical' and wear condoms and this and that.

Something I cringed at.

The thought of porn being politically correct is like a action film where cars drive at legal speed in a sensible way and rather than have action fights, people talk about feelings.

So one wonders is woke had an effect on porn sales.

Indeed, did anyone even go woke, or did they just talk about it to look good and hope it would get them sales.

When BLM was at its height, I noticed a lot more black actresses being employed all of a sudden for the sponsors I was promoting.

Good sells. Woke isn’t good. Porn, by it’s own virtue, goes against the grain. When top down gas lighting seeps in, it turns into a bunch of directors who think they actual movie directors lighting each others farts on fire.

I just read this one as the title interested me. I left NA before 'woke' was a thing there, I find it interesting and frustrating to see how it plays out. as someone who's always been committed to social justice I find it weird how such a deep range of aspects/issues has become an emblem (either for or against as if social justice is some monolithic thing) as like...identities. my reply focused on something real. could give a fuck about Disney or DV. what's trending in the non-information media loop is interesting to me, sometimes, in terms of how trends are created and disseminated in an internet world
