I use namecheap, namesilo and mostly porkbun for new domains.

ICANN raised their rates last year, so I think all registrars raised their prices.

GoDaddy has a Discount Domain Club, but it's only worth it if you have a lot of domains.

The suggestions people made here are good. Also check for transfer specials.
