Hostblast looks like another scammer. (Need some advice)
I was promised that support would resolve my billing issue by the end of today. WELL... they lied again.
1st they couldn't process my credit card so I was told to use Bitcoin. 2nd The phone number on their site is either disabled or fake. 3rd The live chat support is most likely the owner and disconnects you when you ask too many questions. (See screen cap) I sent them what I thought was the full amount but somehow that's not what appeared in their account. All I wanted was to talk to someone to make sure that everything was OK before I sent them more. Hostblast has privacy enabled but I'm wondering if an email to the registrar might help reveal who they are. But I don't know how I should go about explaining this problem in a way that might yield some positive results for me. I wish I had gotten a better screen cap but you'll notice that when I asked for their actual phone number and their time zone I was disconnected. https://i98.servimg.com/u/f98/20/47/30/25/more_b10.png |
What exactly are you trying to accomplish?
Do you need them to do something for you, is something broken, are you trying to move away? |

notinmybackyard, you are making a fool out of yourself by starting 2 threads about this. |
"Get started for as low as $0.50
There is no extra cost or risk. We guarantee 99.9% up time and 100% satisfaction with our services." Lmfao, how much are you out, $5? Try the phone number on their facebook page (646) 776-5898, its different than their website. Seriously though, with the hundreds of low cost hosting options available, why would you pick one that has some of the worst reviews of any hosting company. All it took was one search https://www.trustpilot.com/review/hostblast.net |

If you did any research you would find tons of negative reviews about them - https://www.trustpilot.com/review/hostblast.net
So you can only blame yourself for not doing your due diligence |
Lots of people don't wonder about this, but 99.9% is not great. That's a lot of downtime they are considering standard.
MojoHost, for example, offers 99.999% uptime. The "5-nines" is considered the golden standard for quality hosting. |
Not sure why people always tend to avoid paying a little extra for good service etc. then complain when they don't get it. There is a reason why some services are so cheap. Do your homework people.
Good luck with this. |
