Need help with WP theme a editing footer.
 

I have not been messing with WP files for years and this weekend was asked by someone for help. He wants to edit footer and add some stuff but theme doesn't even have a footer file at all. Has totally different file structure from what I remember.

I can't figure out where its pulling footer and copyright - "©2023 | WordPress Theme by Superbthemes.com" . Is it pulling from MySQL? I don't see it in css file either.

Can someone explain this.

It's pulling it from the parent theme, LightBlogify > footer.php

I think you can just use a free plugin to do stuff in footer.

he should just buy the premium version rather than trying to crack the free version. then he can use whatever text he wants in the footer

most free theme versions don't easily allow one to remove the theme name from the copyright line cuz they're uh, free

This child theme inherits templates from a parent theme, LightBlogify.

Browse to /wp-admin/theme-editor.php?file=footer.php&theme=lightblogify

В любой теме, с любым отображаемым элементом HTML страницы: Ctrl+Shift+I -> мышка -> Ctrl+C -> Customize -> Additional CSS -> Ctrl+V -> display:none

I've been there too but everything is very simple you find the theme button at the bottom of the left menu in the wordpress admin and then go to theme options and then to the footer

i didnt see it in the zip..

If encrypted your only option is to hide the element in css or it will become unstable.

Its a newer theme which comes with required parent theme and plugins. This have changed since early versions of WP and any block theme has that. There is no "footer.php" in WP admin panel. You have to download footer.php from parent theme and edit that file manually.
