It should be possible to get a remote job in a developed country and move to the 3rd world...
Lately I've met plenty of Russian people who have left Russia but still work remotely for Russian companies.
Do Western countries, UK specifically, do anything to prevent such a thing? |

Based on the type of work we conduct, and the companies or people we cooperate with, no one is on the black list. However the banking system has made it difficult to make payments to companies and people who either reside or have a bank account in RU. I am relying on a form of Hawala, where I fund a third party, and they in turn make arrangements to pay (release funds) to the intended beneficiary. It's legal but requires trust. |
Ohh, I didn't make myself clear, sorry. I was thinking about, say, EU companies hiring EU citizens who then move to a country outside of the EU and remotely work from there.

The only way to prevent it is by requiring people to work in an office, and working 100% online has caused an issue with enforcing such rules because your competitors will gladly take your talent and let them live wherever they want.

I would work remotely if I didn't have the house here....
