Guide to using ChatGPT ...

Can anyone share or recommend an e-guide to ChatGPT and the prompts to use? It would be greatly appreciated. I've been using it in the most primitive/basic ways, and its already delivered great results, shaving off weeks of time.

You can literally type your thread title into Youtube and get a lot of information on it

Prompt: Guide to using ChatGPT. Can you share or recommend an e-guide to ChatGPT and the prompts to use? It would be greatly appreciated. I've been using it in the most primitive/basic ways, and its already delivered great results, shaving off weeks of time.

Result: As an AI language model, I don't have a specific guide to using myself, but here are some general tips to help you use me more effectively:

Be specific: The more specific your question or prompt, the more accurate and useful my response will be.

Use proper grammar and punctuation: This will help me better understand your question and provide a more accurate response.

Be patient: It may take me a few moments to generate a response, particularly for complex questions or prompts.

Ask follow-up questions: If my response doesn't fully answer your question or you have additional questions, feel free to ask follow-up questions to get more information.

Experiment: Don't be afraid to try different prompts and questions to see what types of responses I can provide.

Unfortunately, I don't have a specific e-guide available, but there are many resources online that provide tips and examples for using language models like me.

Just do not ask anything adult, or rude, as it will say no to that.

I tried ChatGPT to write articles and for blogging but the content generated by this thing is recognized as AI and thus penalized by Google and Search Engines. There are different tools to test and detect AI generated content. You will need to manually alter the article 50%, or your site will get ghost banned.

Then I tried ChatGPT to correct code, for example some PHP errors I had on a script but I had more success looking for the answer on Google which finds solutions on StackExchange. I had no solution from ChatGPT to the problem I was having.

Maybe it's just me but I can't find anything really spectacular about this thing, a lot of hype of course. Tried to look on youtube but could not find anything really new. Do you have any videos explicitly showing what's so fantastic about this script? On youtube some guy made a video: "How I built a complete site with chatgpt"... But the guy was doing most of the work and wasting more time trying to get answers from chatgpt than installing the frontend, adding content, etc. That was funny.

It's called "prompt engineering"

How do you know Google can recognize and penalizes AI generated content? I'm curious. It seems Google can't even fully detect scrapped sites which are strict copy/paste content.

I was worried about people making entire sites with AI. They could make an authority site that used to take 18 months and do it within a week. Every site out there from recipe sites to those bloated informational, WebMd type sites would vanish instantly or be drowned out.

Couldn't you just run it through a content spinner?

Yeah, it's like connecting to a company's automated voice system when you call. You just want to talk to a human being and you'll get the info you need within 8 seconds. Instead you have to spend 5 hours going through their entire menu and after you do you wasted time and are frustrated.

Right now ChatGTP or AI feels threatening, like almost all websites and online services will be replaced with this tech. But like you said, there's nothing special about it.

I'm thinking I can use it as a tool to get ideas etc, but am still unsure what it's effect will really be. I guess I'm nervous and skeptical at the same time.

Well, it's "brain" it's based on data source - if problem which you have was already solved by someone, then it can pick it up. If you have problem which nobody else have it, then it have no source to look as learning source.

I have been working on a mainstream B2B and B2C project and have asked ChatGPT to:

- summarize longer reports
- dumb down things so that I can understand them better
- identify the backbone of procedural bibles (ops manuals) that fit our needs
- present multiple dozens of employee policies covering a variety of topics
- provide commercial scripts (video and audio)
- generate outbound B2B email templates
- suggest article headlines
- draft bio's, press releases, and more ...

The results are far from perfect. I need to either be more clear with the prompts, or provide more information to ChatGPT to be taken into consideration. Nonetheless, I have spent less than 8 hours, goofing around, and its delivered about 250 pages of rough material for me to work with. When finished I will of likely spent a day looking over the individual results, cleaning it up. I'm guessing, but I see approximately two days of total work that would have taken a week plus to manage.

unless you're like me and then just stab the 0 key until you either get put in queue or get disconnected (yes I am talking to you every bank everywhere)

non-ChatGPT suggestion: with any biz you work with always get the email/phone extension/skype/whatsapp/whatever of your account manager

updating an address that banks don't recognize due to format should not take 5 fucking hours :upsidedow

but until I learned better it was an excuse to do squats and touch up my nail polish

Google doesn't give a shit as long as it is factual and helpful. And that is Google's official stance on the subject.

Must be why I can't get an invite to create an account. Every webmaster is there getting content for their sites.
