Short answer - Yes, models are /were fully aware of what a 'Max H' shoot entailed. Some even saw it as a badge of honour - I shot for Max and came out fine! But lets say that somehow a girl is completely green - has never shot for anyone before and has zero knowledge of Max - The chances of them ending up shooting together is almost less than zero. If you are looking to knock on a door to get into the industry, even if its a pimps door, plenty of doors come along before you would knock on maxs... Why would anyone want to put a 'inexperienced' girl with max? Shed be put off shooting for life! And think of all the finders fees / commissions / agents percentage etc you'd lose out on... Cause at the end of the day, in real life - MONEY TALKS... Simply wouldn't happen...
Problem is though, that there were always plenty of people who wanted to sell the 'fairytale' of 'Brand New Girl Meets Max Hardcore' usually in the form of a 'Shock Documentary'

Side Story: Originally, it was supposed to be about my wife, and not Felicity. However, all the tricks, traps & manipulations, from the docs producers, which eventually worked on Felicity, didn't work on us - By the time they had got ready to start shooting the Doc, Lay had not only already worked for max - But had chosen to go back again for a second shoot. And Lay was in demand - She didn't shoot for anyone she didn't want too.
So they changed the Doc up, and Felicity came on board - Despite the fact that she had already shot one of the OG 'Rough Sex' series for Khan Tusion, that is glossed over in the Doc - Likewise the hours and hours (yes, literally that long) of Layla explaining exactly what to expect from Max, and also myself, giving her my opinion, have of course, all been cut out.
I have not watched the thing for about 20 years, but I know that we shot a 3 and a half hour interview in a seedy hotel room, (With no A.C. - To make me sweat?) where they tried to ply me with beer, get me to be drinking on camera throughout the interview and suggested I wore an old ripped pair of jeans, as it looked 'Edgy' (their words) From that entire interview only half a sentence gets used...

But that sums up that stupid documentary in and of itself. I still got paid for my time, and Lay still got paid for hers, so I cant take issue there, but what a waste of time, when only half a sentence gets used?
But they got what they wanted - The 'Shock Doc' - I met Stephen the producer at a book signing a few years later, and made a light hearted, non serious comment that it would still have had been nice in a way, if he HAD followed Lay for that doc instead of felicity, cause felicity had already left the business and didn't benefit from any of the UK publicity, at a time when this Doc was being shown on average about 4 times a year to huge audiences in the UK...
His reaction was yes, but if we had, we wouldn't have had the story - No one likes a success - They want to gloat over failures...
