alternative to performive

Performive have changed DNS which aren't recognized by domain registrar :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Spent all day trying to get it sorted had enough, just need a simple plan to host basic Wordpress sites at around $10 a month.

Any host suggestions?

Try clicking your own sig?

Some ideas:

Reload dns.
Reload the browser.
Reboot the cpu.
Try to request directly the domain to the server that is supposed to host it (may be technical) in http(s) protocol with a telnet client.
Try a tool to diagnose the dns.

Dreamhost?

https://www.dreamhost.com/wordpress/.../#shared-plans

WordPress Unlimited: Great for multiple websites, including WordPress, and anyone who wants email hosting @ your domain. Starting a $3.95/mo

I'd be happy to have a chat and bring you on board Vacares.

What's the best way to reach you? You can shoot me an email at [email protected] , I'll be around all night.

Really looking for something barebones under $10 a month, it is very basic stuff, a few Wordpress sites low traffic, but adult

Ah okay, more of a "shared" style package. I can't speak from experience, but I do see Hawk Host recommended here often for that kind of purpose.

Going to test dreamhost, spoke with the chat, they take adult, provide SSL and (theoretically) one click transfer of Wordpress sites from previous host to them

Wish me luck :)

I would suggest TDM. They are really cheap and offer good managed hosting. Check out my signature for hosts that I use. Good luck.

:winkwink:

I've been with HostGator for years. They are pretty reliable and reasonably priced:

1. Make an account at Cloudflare.

2. Add your domain.

3. Add the DNS info your registrar won't accept (I assume you mean A records etc).

4. If the records are accepted at Cloudflare, change your registrar's name servers to the ones Cloudflare provides.

To avoid '48 hours propagation' stuff, and if you don't want your ISP knowing every porn site you visit, use a non-ISP DNS server like Cloudflare (1.1.1.1), Google (8.8.8.8), Quad9 (9.9.9.9), etc. Whichever one you prefer to know which porn sites you visit.

Good luck - But I doubt you'll need it - I've had an account with Dreamhost for over 15 years. Cant say Ive ever had a problem with them. & yes, legal adult content is perfectly acceptable - One click SSL instals from the CP are painless and seem to work perfectly :thumbsup

I can't comment on the 'One Click Transfers' as I have no experience of that, but you should be happy overall with Dreamhost. I've had many other servers with diff people since 1999 but since returning from the states in 07 my one constant has been dreamhost, and I'm about to renew again for another year next month...

The actual DNS server1.host etc are rejected by namecheap.

Spent a day with support with unclear answers, already had issues in the past; decided I had enough and dropped them.

Turns out dreamhost provides SSL for each site hosted, so one less hassle.

I have seen this error before not hard to fix on the webhosts side.
