I'm still around, just not really a webmaster anymore, I switched and basically became a scientist. I still collect random porn checks, tho, rev ftw. :upsidedow

I don't hang out in IRC anymore, mostly in my slack group of ~600 indie hackers from my community of ~10,000 indie hackers I run.

Yeah, I actually like it a lot. I work full time in a lab and I mostly work with hundreds of test tubes daily, centrifuges, super cold freezers, bunch of other random things, and the best part is there's a back door right next to the lab where I walk a couple blocks to go home on breaks for some bongs. Still feels weird wearing a lab coat tho lol.
Just got promoted to a lab tech trainer and going for machine tech next. :upsidedow

This really is a great change for me, also going to a place on a regular schedule and not having to think about work once I'm off is a nice feeling.

I was actually hired to a lower position there, then I was thinking "Ok, if I work hard here maybe they'll let me work in the lab eventually" and the second day there, they promoted me to a lab position because of my tech background lol. That's how we do it in the PBBC, tho, so no surprises there. :winkwink:

The way that I got promoted to a trainer was PBBC style, too. Morning crew basically sucks and cost the company about $10mil in December, so when management was around talking about it and fired 2 people, I said "Fine, I'll be the lab trainer" without anyone asking, so they said ok and promoted me and demoted the current trainer lol.
