Just out of curiosity, from where does Stella come in UK? Here it is poured in Hungary and some other country(Romania i think but not sure), but both versions have nothing with original Stella taste which i experienced 20 years ago when it was imported directly from Belgium.

everybody brews with local water. hops get imported. so probably Belgian hops but brewed with your regional water.

ever tried potato chips in different countries? the Lays potato chips in SE Asia taste like plastic. sunchips taste like cardboard.

Ain't Stella Artois called "the wifebeater's beer" in the UK??

Stella is considered to be a 'Premium Lager' in the UK, and was markets as 'Reassuringly Expensive' - It had a slightly higher alc content 5% than most other lagers at the time - which were usually 3 or 3.5%

No idea about the ingredients / taste profile etc... Its just a 'fancy lager' to me - Its not considered to be a wonderful taste or a real premium - Its just 'Stella' Not good, not bad and should get you drunk easy enough :thumbsup

No, that would be 'Tennents Super'... Was 9% back in the day, but its down to about 7% alcohol these days and a smaller can...

Possibly alternative contender would be 'Special Brew' - But thats gone down from about 8% to 4% these days - Its all got a lot weaker... :(

get some buckets and brew your own.

I dont - I just play with my poo like play doh, and roll it up into little sausage shapes, and poost them in through the drink hole :thumbsup
