Adobe Photoshop 2023 or Luminar NEO

Which is the best for image editing? Adobe Photoshop 2023 or Luminar NEO?
Thanks for any input. I have tried both, not sure which is the best bet. Watched the videos and not one concise opinion.

I used Photoshop and loved it right up until they started charging monthly. I now use version CS6 extended( which does more than i will ever need) and refuse to pay their monthly fees. I spent literally thousands of $ upgrading from version1. And now they want to charge more for less. Photoshop will cost you around $240 per year and you will own nothing. Luminar if it does what you need will cost you less than half that annually (with upgrades) or if you are happy with the present version just $149 for lifetime. As you have tried them both only you can tell if they meet your requirements ?

Can I throw GIMP in the ring? I used to use photoshop, but the version I had stopped working as it was really old. I then moved to GIMP.

I was pleased to se that it is basically the same as photoshop, with a few minor differences... OK, not so good (For Me) for technical stuff ie cutting out images and blending diff images together for banners or headers, because that's really intuitive with PS but not quite so with GIMP...

That said though, if its just more basic stuff, like colour correction etc, it might fit the bill for you? Plus of course, its 100% free... So... Cant complain about the price.

A simple 'How Do I...XXX?' into youtube will usually give you a helpful vid if you are stuck...

I say give it a try - https://www.gimp.org/ - Cant hurt to see if its right for you :thumbsup
