A computer scientist is urging the world to record their elderly parents and loved ones as he predicts consciousness could be uploaded onto a computer this year.

Dr Pratik Desai, who has founded multiple Silicon Valley AI startups, said that if people have enough video and voice recorders of their loved ones, there is a '100 percent chance' of relatives 'living with you forever.'

Desai, who has created his own ChatGPT-like system, wrote on Twitter: 'This should be even possible by end of the year.'

Upload it to the humans shooting in the streets first.

I used to think that this was a pretty dumb idea but I have changed my mind and think it will be entirely possible to do.

It's important to keep in mind though that YOU will not go on living. You are still dead. The computer though, is taking who it thinks you are, and simulating you to your friends and loved ones.

i wanted to post same :1orglaugh But the thing is, problem with this idea how you wont move into computer, but you will create new entity within it. Like a backup. So death still will be death.
