I have old 16 year old dog. He is day to day - deaf, limping, lost most of his teeth. I don't think I can have another dog, ever. :(

How do you get dog from another country? Is it a lot of paperwork?

In Europe dog has to be chipped, vaccinated and you have to make a dog passport.

I've got a Highlands Snow Lynx named Buster McFluffin and a Highlands Dessert Lynx/Bobcat hybrid named Boogs. They're both super loving, docile and act more like a dog than a cat

We have a bunch of dumb, fancy, expensive cats too. But fuck those cats.

I had 2 cats before from China, cost like f-ing $3,500 to fly them back here..

There are very very few stray dogs in the Netherlands. You need a license to be a breeder and have to do it as a business, so we dont have issues with backyard breeders and unwanted dogs or cats.

So for people who want to rescue instead of buy, there are non-profits that fly in dogs and cats from countries that cant control their dog/cat populations.

Thats how I got Linda. And there are usually dozens of people trying to adopt the ones that are flown in.
