Anyone know how to import a Premiere project into Davinci ?

Since 2020 Adobe Premiere has had an intermittent problem where it will NOT export the media. Most of the time clearing the media cache files and changing the memory settings fixes the problem. Adobe's support has become garbage! I find dealing with them worse than arguing about my points with Racetrac's support.

Installing Adobe 2023 does NOT fix the problem.

So does anyone know of a trick or some other way to import a Premiere project into Davinci?

This failure to export has been such a common problem that logically the morons at Adobe should have addressed it. I figure that they're probably a bunch of non-binary lesbians who cut off their dicks so problem solving is no longer a required skill at Adobe. (ie: Idiots get hired because they check the right boxes on the application)

I appreciate the effort but I've already done that. The best I seem to be able to do is get one line of the time line but without the sound. So, I'm still hoping that someone knows a hack or some kind of trick because otherwise I'm back to trying to get premiere to export.

Ahh, OK - Gotcha.

That's as far as my knowledge goes. I have only used DR for the past 5 years or so, and as such, really know nothing about Premier these days...

So here's a bump to see if anyone else can help :thumbsup

Open DaVinci Resolve, and go to File > Import > Timeline , select the file you just exported with Premiere and open it.

If that doesn't work with your project, you're out of luck.

I finally got adobe to export. I just kept repeating the recommended fixes and at last it started exporting. Otherwise you're right that I was out of luck because Davinci really isn't designed to import premiere projects.

This is officially the last time that I'll use Premiere. It's just not worth the headache.
