Can paypal account get blocked if you use paypal as payment method for an adult site ?
 

If you have an adult site in which you sell adult content or adult related services and you use paypal as a payment method, can your paypal account be banned one day ? especially if the domain for this site contain clear adult keywords. did anyone here face this problem in the past? what I want to know exactly is if paypal policies are against adult & porn related content or not. (for example google play policies are against adult related content which means if you publish a porn app in google play store it will be suspended) I hope the idea is clear.

You don't need to be in adult to be fucked over by Paypal, though you're probably taking more of a risk.

Your Paypal account can be banned/frozen for any reason at all, or maybe no reason, and maybe you'll even find out why some day, or maybe not. Maybe it won't take you six months to get your frozen account balance back or maybe it will, or maybe you'll never get it back.

Hasn't happened to me, but only because I've always avoided Paypal like the plague, after reading countless horror stories over decades how that's happened to other people.

One of the reasons for bitcoin's creation/adoption is Paypal.

In short: use Paypal if a lot of your buyers are using it and it's worth it, and you can't get them to use something else, but don't rely heavily on Paypal, don't leave any money on it, and don't be surprised if it gets frozen/terminated one day.

I am not sure you'll find to many who can claim that has happened recently to them. Several cam companies still pay their models frequently using PayPal along with sites and no problem exists

Cypto you'll find hard pressed models that will use that - in fact even the studios refuse to accept it as payment last time I checked. Only once in all my 30 years has someone insisted he pay me in bitcoin and that's because he ran a casino - but even he was shocked when anywhere else refused home including designers - programmers - they prefer either wire or PayPal.

yes. if you are running a legal site then you can apply for pre-approval from paypal.

Paypal dropped adult, what, 15-20 years ago, fucking over lots of people, and then have seemingly in the past 5-10 years, in vague, amorphous ways that nobody seems to understand for sure, accepted some adult stuff... until they decide to drop it again.

FFN used to have Paypal as a payout option for a while and then that seemed to disappear quite suddenly for reasons unknown, or reasons spurious, and I've seen that outside adult too. They just seem to do what they want, when they want, making them totally unreliable and not to be trusted.

As I said, if someone's making significant money through Paypal, carry on, but leaving money there is insane, and don't be surprised if one day you wake up and your account is frozen.

If you do get fucked by Paypal though, don't worry, just remember that 99% of people have no problem, and that's what matters. :)

I have used PayPal to collect customer payments and pay our models for 10 years without any problems. I admit that I am simply waiting for the day when I receive that email notice from them banning my account for no reason.

Its just my hunch but I think they ban accounts based on your transaction description. So if your customers are buying "Wet Pussy Gangbang - Season 3" then paypal will ban your account. If you are paying your content creators with payments for "Live Sex Cam" then paypal will ban your account.

If you want to be safe use Epoch. They have an exclusive partnership with PayPal to accept adult payments

I never had a single problem with paypal in 20 years how much i using it.

i use paypal, but i always withdraw as soon as i get a payment to make sure im not losing anything incase that happens.

i use a non adult email, not tied to anything, and i dont allow people to send any adult text in notes.

Yes they will ban you for porn. Don't use paypal for adult. Use Bitcoin instead
