An honest question for users of ChatGPT or other AI bots
 

Maybe this is a Canadian thing, but I find myself saying "Please" and "Thankyou" to ChatGPT all the time. And every time I start a new session, I almost always say "Good morning / afternoon / evening". I'm not being polite on purpose, but for some reason it is just spilling out of me? Is this a Canadian thing? Or just a Marky thing?

It's a "get a life" thing.

This behavior is a very north american thing and sometimes it's getting annoying - not in a bad way, but I already told some people to stop with extrem over the top friendlyness and time wasting small talk. At some point it just feels like the person is playing with me and don't show me the "real" person. I know it's mostly not the case, but it still feels strange sometimes.
But in fact there are a lot of more "bad" behaviors than this, so nothing to have a big problem with it.


If you talk with ChatGPT like a human - you kill the quality of the results (at least at current stage of technology - maybe in the future u need to be friendly to your AI chat bot to get propper answers^^).

Saying thank you seems to work for me tho. 100% of the time so far when a gfyer claims to get told to fuck off by chatGPT, I use the same prompt they're crying about and have success. Never been able to figure out why, but now I think I may know 😎
