It won't happen - Disney has invested a ton of money into Star Wars. While its true that not enough people went to the "Galactic Starcruiser Adventure" dud at $3500 a pop, Galaxys Edge and Rise of the Resistance are really well done, crazy-popular, and included with the price of admission.

What Disney should do maybe is ask Lucas back to help fix the Star Wars shows on Disney+. I haven't watched them but I heard they are disappointing to some fans...

They aren't that bad. The characters have been a bit bland. One of the plots for one of the recent movies was identical to the original Star Wars...

Their last few movies were a disaster bringing huge loss. Not sure if you watched the video, but Disney has liquidity of only $200 million, which means such a big company is in a really big trouble.

They probably can't afford to run for the next few months without selling some of their companies, let alone working on the next big blockbuster.
