Searching for a trustworthy crypto wallet outside of Western nation influence

I've already had this conversation with everyone over here. So, yes I understand how a wallet is technically trustworthy. But I'm old school and in my day we never trusted anyone that had anything to do with money, government or law enforcement.

So I would like a crypto wallet that's not located in Occident or kissing its ass.

Something like BC Vault maybe?

What's wrong with Electrum?

Arnox 06-20-2023 12:45 PM

There are open source solutions to wallet access/blockchain interactions if that's what you mean.

My Ether Wallet is an example. You can run it completely offline and send a signed transaction request with the original machine completely airgapped.

I also want to make it clear that crypto wallets aren't hosted anywhere. They're just really long and unique passwords. They don't really exist in the way that most people think they exist.

Have you tried hardware wallets like Trezor or Ledger? Otherwise here is a list of Bitcoin wallets.

Exodus and Electrum are the best windows wallets, you can even use API with Electrum!

It's the PEOPLE behind the services that I don't trust. I also prefer to not run an offline wallet at this time.

Follow JScott's advice and use Trezor. Not only do you keep it with you, that wallet also has a rock-solid reputation. Your crypto stays where you want it and you won't have to worry about a provider going tits-up.

I like Electrum more because I can adjust the fees better, with exodus it's limited, but the advantage with exodus is that it has multiple cryptocurrencies, not just bitcoin

Binance will leave Holland next month. People must take their money and go.
Couldn't get papers from the Dutch Bank.
More will be banned soon.

Maybe Metamask i a solution?

not for larger amounts, definitly not, i have constant issues with metamask , its part of the browser ecosystem and therefore it cannot be avoided that its attacked by third parties if you land on the wrong sites...

Bitcoin is the only solid currency. You can pay with it anywhere and for anything. All others are just speculative surrogates :2 cents:

Electrum is out of the question because the guy who started it is from Berlin Germany.
There has to be a wallet out there that has zero connections to Occident.

It's open source.

BC Vault is headquartered in Slovenia. So far so good! But I'm going to see what else I can find out.

I don't give a shit. I don't want anything that can be easily linked back to any Western nation. The only things I trust are a loaded gun in my hand and precious metals in my safe. So yea, I'm paranoid but it works for me.
