Twitter to restrict number of tweets people can read each day

This whole episode will be in future business textbooks. |
My limit is already 0.
:1orglaugh |
600/day for unverified accounts is super lame lol

Looks like Elon isn't paying his bills and Google don't play that.
Elon Musk blamed data scraping for strict 'rate limits' on viewing tweets. Twitter's former head of trust and safety says it's not the first time the site's been broken by someone 'bumbling around in the rate limiter.' Quote:

Might as well rename it to Botter. I looked around yesterday after years of not visiting. Shit turned into a ChatGPT vomit bag.

How can you tell it's all bots, Dave? |
you cant even view tweets for non logged in anymore, they are reallly forcing people to signup, and for you to pay for twitter blue.
|
To restrict number of tweets people can read, not even post each day? Is that a joke or for real?

Falcon, admit it.. you just hate him because he stopped censoring people that oppose your leftist views.
Long live freedom of speech. . |
I didn't reach my limits. And if i would reach it, i must have around 40 spare accounts.
|
I don't have an account so I haven't been able to read it for a few days unless they are embedded in a news article or something.

Falcon, you should be more concerned about Joe Biden's administration attempting to suppress American citizens' speech...
Judge limits Biden administration contact with social media firms: A federal judge in Louisiana ruled Tuesday that the Biden administration likely violated the First Amendment by censoring unfavorable views on social media over the course of the coronavirus pandemic, calling the efforts Orwellian. https://www.politico.com/news/2023/0...firms-00104656 |

To be honest, I don't really understand what Twitter is for and who really uses it. There's Telegram, and that's more than enough for just about everything :2 cents: |
Successfully monetizing Twitter has always been the challenge.
Platforms of such magnitude have to juggle scale and net return in an tech/biz ecology that has no comparable precedent. "Crazy" rules and limits will be tested. I'm sure the wildest possibilities have yet to come with AI driving the test bench. It has less to do with making sense to "users", as long as they're hooked enough to not leave, and more to do with finding/tuning the sweet profit spots - remembering that "profit" is not limited to revenue streams. If the platform can be proven as a good source of backend user profiling data, there is precedence for substantial military/intelligence 3-letter department sponsorship. Having any expectations for such platforms to actually serve any social purpose, is about as naοve as it gets. It's just a toy. :2 cents: |

Regarding Twitter/Musk, some people just hate to see people building or becoming successful. :disgust |
