How long does it take to see decent traffic?

Hi all,

Long time lurker first time poster.

I've just started my cam aggregator site and have followed the usual steps as outlined in blogs by mradultaffiliate etc to try to get my site "seen". That is the usual google site map, create twitter and reddit account etc.

Some of those blog articles appears pretty dated (as it reference resources that are no longer around and there's no post date on them), so is there any more current method of generating organic traffic?

Usually how long until one start seeing decent traffic (eg 100 or 1000 visitors per day) if I keep remaining active on my site and social media?

Thanks in advance

they are not used to get traffic. you use skim or 404. you have a tube? place niche ads there to the cam.

Cam sites are pretty competitive. To get organic traffic you need backlinks and a lot of them. You cant just open up a site and expect traffic. If it was that easy then everyone would be doing it

You have to spend money to make money

i can build a tube in half a day. a cam aggregator in about 25 minutes. question tho, are there any original ideas left?

the tech has been figured out for awhile now. how are you going to attract and retain a loyal following?

when that dude gets 15 minutes to himself in the bathroom, away from his crazy ass wife and annoying kids, and brings up his duckduckgo browser on his phone, is he going to type in your addy?

if not, then figure out how.

:2 cents:

Exactly twice as long as it is from the middle to one end... :2 cents:

If we take solely Google, it’s very slow, especially for new sites. I’ve made a website that pulls in 200k clicks from Google a month with DR 60. It took around a year to take off on Google when we were starting out.

I recently started a new project which is an AI Porn Generator web app. Since its launch slightly over a week ago, it’s getting around 150 visitors per day now. Not from Google though. From Reddit and direct traffic mostly. Cross-posting helped.

Google has indexed it but I’m expecting it will take a big while until it progresses higher than an average top 60 search results position.

congratulations on the cam site

was it mechbunny one? or another one?

if you search for something like live sex cams in google then look at the results
then flick through till you find a cam site with similar template to yours
for example built by robo or mechbunny or whatever you used

then look at similar web to see what traffic the site gets
then look at ahrefs and see the backlinks
then if you like get all backlinks they have :1orglaugh
some cam sites are very hard to get search traffic for
some use blog articles and other means to bring the traffic to their site then funnel it to cams
have you built topical authority? or do you just feed with traffic from another source like tube? or social like twitter/reddit? :thumbsup

First of all (SE) traffic is not a matter of course, if you know what you are doing you should get some sooner or later... can take weeks or months. Good backlinks can speed things up.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions.

It's your standard Wordpress front end but with a custom back-end aggregator that I wrote myself posting to WP via it's rest API.

People who sign up and become spenders on cams don't always find sites by searching on SEs. Be creative, track everything that you can, find out what's working, figure out if it's scalable, then scale up, repeat.
Then go more into why the signups that you have are signing up. Are they searching for cams in general, specific cam girls, different niches, did they sign up because you told them to?, etc.
You know, scale up and all that, same with every other affiliate marketing offer out there. :upsidedow

The hardlinks site is majorly confusing

"Do not buy from “we sell adult backlink packages” websites"

But then you recommend buying links from seoclerks?

I'd say about half to one year if you are constant with promotion. Test and track any data you can to find patterns that work.
