Just got an e mail from my processor, that Visa doubled their annual " high risk" merchants from $ 500 to $ 1,000. WTF??

Anybody else got the notice ??

My fee did not go up. It's 550.00 this year and was paid on the 7th.

Its for next year? Or you are not processing high risk adult products then. Good for you if it stays at $550.

I opened my account in July of last year, so it doesn't seem like I'm on the "January" schedule I used to have for many years. This is their email to me.

And a high-risk account, without the high-risk fees :)

Dear Merchant,

We are sending this email as a reminder that the annual renewal for your Visa High-Risk registration is approaching. The debit for the annual renewal is $550, and will be submitted to your bank account on August 7, 2023.

Yeah about that ... nobody use crypto for paying unless you want to buy something what is not available by conventional payment methods.

I find it strange how nobody managed to make a valid competition to visa/mastercard duopoly. yet technology itself is very simple. Cards are not used just for payments, but you can also use it as store card to collect points. You can even add store card to google pay and use it instead analog version on next buy.
