There are some great tequilas aged in Burbon barrels. Gives a nice finish. The best one I had I believe was from Herradura. If the corner store doesn't have it, try a Bevmo or Total Wine and More store. Trader Joes might possibly have it, but that's doubtful.

Teeling Irish whiskey, not too expensive, super smooth. Great to share or just sip on the rocks with a Liga Privada no 9 cigar.

after years of drinking all sorts of alcohol, i noticed polish vodka gives me the least headache and hangover, no other reason.

also i mix it with various juices, sodas, bitters, lemon/lime juice and a lot of ice too, depending if i want to drink something minty, gingery, fruity, etc.

this is my favorite (just because it's easily available and cheap where i live, but bottle still looks fancy :) ):

Vodka overall will give you the least hangover - any "clear" or light colored alcohol will give you less hangover. Vodka, white wine, gin, etc. The smoothest mass-produced polish vodka is easily Chopin but there are tons of micro distilleries here.

You might be surprised with a bottle of Trader Joe's Kentucky Bourbon. Decent bourbon for a great price.

Was going for Tequila, ended up drinking white rum & lemon, my partner on white rum & coke. Now for the night time party until 2am as been sunbathing naked with the shower spraying over us & the surround music on the solarium playing deep house relaxing music all afternoon...
