Why are people obsessed with authority. Surely it's better to exchange links with people who's sites actually get Google traffic. Authority is useless. I've seen sites with 70 authority with no Google traffic compared to sites with authority of 10 with 50k a day

I can show you plenty of sites with low domain authority with more search engine traffic than DA of 70

DA is a useless metric.
