What's the point of this relentless spam?

Every now and then I get a great deal of spam from the same person. Usually from Russia. And each spam email I get is from a different email address. I've just started getting some this last week to all my webmaster email addresses. Sometimes I get about 30 emails a day! I replied to a few to say I was interested in what they were offering just to test it out but the emails immediately came back undeliverable.

So I just wonder what is the point of them sending all this constant spam. What are they getting out of it. Here's the latest one I'm getting:

Numbers game probably - If he sends out thousands upon thousands over and over again, to many many different people, he's gonna get some money?

Edit - Just reread to see that you cant reply... Probably doesnt want emails back, as he is going through them so fast - That's why he wants you to use Telegram or Skype

I keep getting that same exact one and finally contacted him on SKYPE told him to stop and fuck off

Yes, it's the numbers game I suppose. So maybe some people contact him by Telegram or Skype. It's not possible to block him because ever email he sends is a different email address. Also it doesn't make sense why he sends the same email to me 30 times a day! That's surely going to make me think it's spam and not reply. Hope he's making a bit of money for all his trouble!

Welcome to the excusive club! I don't have Skype so can't contact him. If you ever contact him again can you tell him to stop and fuck off from me!

many models like me, receive DMs from people on ifans, onlyfans & manyvids, all saying similar, come to my telegram and i can buy your content direct, lots of it...

they want you to sign up to a bitcoin or another type of coin & then you get a code from them which would pay them...

What surprises me is they always get delivered to my inboxes instead of my junk mail. I just don't understand the point of sending the same message so many times because you immediately think it's spam so ignore it. If it was just sent once then surely more people would be inclined to respond to the email and use his services. Hopefully they will stop soon.

I get more generic SEO spam, claiming they're local and have an office in my city...

Much of it arrives via quadranet... formerly OC3 networks and Pacific Rack. Remember when they were big on GFY?

Sometimes think about replying with a throwaway address and telling them I have a local bikie gang that needs some SEO work done, and can we come in to see them? Pointless though, I'd say they're scammers from another continent.

They know the lifespan of the emails they use is very short, so they're hoping you will contact them on Skype/WhatsApp/Telegram. As long as someone bites to their offers, its financially worth it for them to keep doing it...

Good point. That makes sense. The thing I don't understand is why send me the same email 100 times a day! I'm going to immediately think it's just spam and ignore it. If they sent it just once I'd be much more inclined to consider it and not think of it as spam.

Yes. In a way I'm quite impressed by how he manages to send so many e-mails which are clearly spam but always get delivered to my inbox. I'm almost tempted to get in touch with him and see if he can spam as many people on my behalf to promote my sites!

It is because is professionally formatted e-mail - regular spam usually have grammar errors, spelling errors, no company name in sig, and stuff like that which make it easy to mark it as spam.

Yes, that's true. He uses a different email address for each email he sends! The emails all end in .ru like this one:

[email protected]

So if you report an email from him as spam it's a waste of time because he only uses one email once so if it gets blocked that's no problem for him.

Pretty much.

There's also the added element of NIGERIAN PRINCE STYLE email content ie., the content filters the audience

Luckily those emails have stopped. My main annoyance was that I was receiving about 50 of the same emails every day for a few months. So the question really is why would someone send the same message to me 50 times a day for 2 months? Surely that can't have been intentional. If it was then it doesn't make any sense as that is just going to annoy me and make me certain not to get in touch to use his services. If he'd just sent one or two emails then there is a much better chance that I would reply and take an interest in what he is offering. I'm sure I'll be getting more relentless spam soon! Hope next time it's a Nigerian Prince style one as they are at least amusing.

See, some people do reach out to him after all. His skype history must be a fun read.
