Does talent exist?
|
It's the use of "talented" that he objects to.
For example, when people tell an athlete that god has blessed them with this talent. People see it as an insult to all of their hard work, when some lame fuck gives all the credit to some god or some talent. Fat fucks who don't get off the couch are usually telling hard working people this fucking garbage. :2 cents: |
He also got the shit fucked out of him by Floyd Mayweather...
All the above is bollocks, you have it or you donīt! :2 cents: |

Because they all get run over before they work hard and get better. You rub your pussy for a living and that's why you don't understand hard work. :1orglaugh |
I don't take my advice from a punching bag . . .

ability + practice = talent
check out singing competitions. no one there singing their first song in their life. and no one with RFKjr's voice is trying out. u gotta have some ability and then practice a lot. cam models - day one they all suck, some don't get a single private, even with natural ability. 3 years in they are sucking the fans dry. i only know a few people (IRL) who can do my job. was i born knowing how to write a function? i had some natural ability to understand logic and then practiced a million hours. this fighting dude never practiced? he was in the gym all day all night since he was a kid. he has natural ability to respond quickly. he beats people with less practice and ability, and gets beat by guys with more. sorry if there's typos. its too early here in Thailand. i need coffee and a bong hit... # |

For fucks sake, that's why you don't see dwarves in NBA.

Look at it this way...
Every single one of you can take a poo... But it takes REAL TALENT to spend 21+ years on GFY, mentioning it in every single poost you make... :2 cents: |

both my partner & I have trophies & medals from sports. It takes hard work yes, but itīs a talent. You either have it or you donīt :2 cents: I rode a bike when I was 2 years of age & enjoyed kicking a ball around, not playing with dolls... my father was an East of England weightlifter with 20 or more trophies, could have been this that pushed the sports in me, but still was born with a talent & then the hard work pushes you to the top... trolling must have been your talent :winkwink: |

talent is work, but you have the ability from the start, talent :thumbsup |

Better? |
Sure, talent helps, but discipline wins.
|
Talent is real for sure...
...but a ton of nepotism exists behind the scenes. Hard work also plays a role of course- along with cunning. Much of life comes down to being in the right place, at the right time, with the right people, and you only have partial control over those factors. :pimp |

practice makes perfect, but you need to have the skills! The skills is the talent! The practice, discipline, hard work, motivation, struggle & goals get you to the top, therefore making your talent noticeable :2 cents: |

The Lance Armstrong story, when you really research it and dig into the situation at the time, required his entire life to basically revolve around this completely false image, and it worked!!! Holy fuck it WORKED!!! 7 TIME CHAMP!!! If you watched cycling at all during this time, his speed was incredible, like a completely different animal than everyone else. He was the DeeCash of cycling, just completely out-pacing everyone on how to make money. |
I played in a band a long time ago. I practiced constantly on my guitar. We finally got a pretty good band together. One of our friends hung around with us all the time. He went somewhere for about 3 months. He came back and could play a guitar like nobody's business. Finger picking and just blowing all of our minds.
He had a natural talent for the guitar. I played because of persistance, perseverence, and determination. Playing came easy for our friend, he didn't give a fuck, never really cared about his talent. He just let it go. I had a natural talent for the drums, but ended up with a guitar. Go figure. |
Looks like Connor is a big fan of Malcolm Gladwell's 10,000 hours Rule

I love women talented at giving head. . .

The same analysis can be applied to MOTIVATION
So many people focus on motivation when it turns out PLACING THEMSELVES CONSCIOIUSLY / PURPOSED in the "right places" play a bigger role in CONTINUOUS OR CONSISTENT SUCCESS |
Some may argue that the ability to be determined, focused and work hard to achieve goals is a talent on it's own - not everyone can remain determined or disciplined within the focus of business or goal set. Not giving up and pushing through after failing over and over is a talent. Success doesnt come to you over night so hell yea you need to work hard and be obsessed.
A natural gift is a different story ie you dont really develop a great singing voice with practice or paint Mona Lisa level drawings - there needs to be some sort of natural gift embedded here to become successul combined with hard work & determination. |
