What to do when webmasters remove paid links?
I've just checked some of the links, randomly, and noticed they are removed. Considering I am l keeping track, it is easy to find them
I am not talking about link exchanges or dead domains. These were permanent links on sites that are online. What do you do in such situations? Owners are legit webmasters active on GFY for many years thanks |
first off, never assume it's intentional. I made that mistake once myself years ago...had an (unpaid) recip link with a gfy'er I knew from here (not a friend, just someone I knew from around here) and when I redesigned my site with a new theme and redid my footer I fucked up and forgot the link
he messaged me all...uh, what's up? profuse apologies, gave him a better link placement as apology until his site went offline a few years later it was a mistake and rather than getting pissed he messaged me, which I appreciated as had NO idea of the issue. I just fucked up, wasn't tryna mess around you mention multiple owners, and PAID links? that's service in exchange for money, not quid pro quo I'd still message them to inquire as to what occurred, but if that doesn't work then name them here, esp if they actively sell links it's stealing if they operate that way but yeah, oversights happen. never assume the worst. contact them via email and PM and see what happens good luck |
permanent links will go offline eventually , anyone seeking those is usually broke and needs $$ bad there is no reason any webmaster that’s doing ok to sell permanent links

"legit webmasters" removed your permanent links? what do I miss?

anyway, removing paid links does not make you a "legit webmaster". if there was no error in removing those links, he should post their username, so we can avoid them. No matter how "legit" or for how long they were on this forum. |
Permanent links can disappear anytime, the seller can just tell you something like "I don't operate the site anymore" and you can't complain. If you buy a link for a year and they remove the link before it expires you can complain and ask a partial refund but of course they can ignore you and not much you can do, at least you can post about it on forums and warn others.

Just call them out . . .
|
If you see them online, see their presence on the forum, sites are still active and they not responding, I agree with others, call them out. It's not business polite. My opinion.

If they are a regular or premium supplier of paid links, there is always an agreement that is required for them to sign, acknowledging that they have rights to post such links on XYZ sites, and the terms are: ________________________.
I've never done this for "links" but for all other purposes of services, if the amount is considerable, and I have people in that persons country, than I will put the effort to remind them of the terms, and if needed, file a police report in their country, and possibly have a local reach out to them. Otherwise, if I have no one locally, and the monetary value is insignificant, than its considered a loss, and the most I will do, is blacklist them internally, and post my frustrations on a site like GFY. |

dealing with direct owners is always the best. |

Email the site owner & ask if it´s a mistake or if your link is going to be replaced or you want money back. Good luck :thumbsup Quote:
We removed a link as the site was down, then it was back up, had an email asking why we removed the link we explained & replaced it, all was good & we also had our site down with the recent server change, a few emails from several site owners later, we had it all sorted... To all seo & blog owners who know about DA & reciprocal links. A question related to link exchange. Wondering what to do with about 20 links all link exchanged with some top sites, 10 all with the same owner. We exchanged links a year or more ago, all the sites were at about 25 DA including our own. A year on, working hard, we´re at DA 36 plus, they´re all still around 20 to 28... obviously they haven´t done much to promote their sites or work on back links to make their sites better. Now, we´re considering to remove these links as 20 links falling this much lower than our own DA, would it make our site score stronger without them? Of course I´d email these site owners & let them know the situation, but how do you feel about this, is it worth it, does 20 links all lower effect our rating, ranking & score? It´s a blog, the side bar has about 50 link exchange, about 30 have all improved their DA as we have. Shall I remove these failing sites or not worry about them? Any help would be grateful! Thanks... :thumbsup |
But why DA? I mean, I mean, it is obsolete metrics for years now.

I usually don't give a fuck about DA if that site has some rank on google. :thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup |
Living in the stone age of looking at DA. It's like Google page rank never left. If your site isn't increasing with search engine traffic then these high DA sites people are building links with are a waste of time. Wasting your life
I could go on fiver tomorrow and make my site DA 50 overnight very cheaply |

If your looking to boost your DA for some strange reason then just remove their links. However If a site removed yours because their DA outgrew you. Would you be happy? |

however, yes, when reading through the net, DA is still very important, especially regarding business when comparing to others of the same business & the SERPs Wanting someone who knows SEO & is top of the game regarding site management, are the 20 links better to me as a link back or get rid... these sites are not being worked on, they´re just sat there doing nothing, i believed when creating the backlinks, these topsites would be worked on & grow. I can´t help it if the owners are lazy :2 cents: |

is a war crime :thumbsup |
The struggle is Real
Welcome to our world now, I catch more and more removing links and their reasons are an absolute joke
The only way we can stop this is by reporting them here, I still cant understand why GFY wont make a page for these bad apples I had a guy give me a price yesterday for a link, I asked duration, he said as long as possible, like WTF , that was actually funny And if you buy a lifetime link, your own fault because thats a huge red flag good luck to all, my buyers and Trade partners dont need to worry about me :) [email protected] |
OK. I've got responses from other people and they fixed the link.
Considering I've tried communicating by email, with PM messages here on GFY (the user was online today, and every time I've checked in previous days) maybe this will get his attention: https://gfy.com/sell-and-buy-forum/1...s-3-sites.html I've bought three links and I am keeping all communication in my mailbox. Anyway, it seems pages are missing. The seller not answering my messages. |
try skype, ive spoke to him before
