.xxx and .com
Hi
I wonder is there a difference in Google when it comes .com and .xxx domain? Does Google treat .xxx same as .com? Cheers |
Yes but .com is always the more preferred and well known :2 cents:

NatalieK.com comes up first if searching for just Natalie K, but if Natalie K xxx, Natalie K adult, Natalie K porn, bla bla bla the .com doesnīt come up in google search but the .xxx does... so literally depends on the terms used. If someoneīs looking for porn, the .xxx will have priority :2 cents: |

Domain extensions. Non of them have priority. I've ranked a .pics or .live domain higher than multiple .com sites on high volume keywords It's all about backlinks etc |

I'm pretty happy that my competitors worry about irrelevant shit like this though. :thumbsup |
Good to hear. Because they are still nice names available in the .xxx extension.

That was the panic. That being forced unto 1 tld for an entire industry which could be flipped off or sand boxed. https://i.imgur.com/n9eZrwG.jpg |
The main reason i want to use .xxx, because there are still nice names available. I was thinking about the disadvantages of using .xxx. Good to see that there aren't any, apart from the domain price.

so itīs a tenner a month, not a quid a month, canīt you make the 10 a month :1orglaugh anyone moaning about the price, thereīs a problem with your earnings?! if everyone in the adult business, took up the .xxx and pushed their .coms to this, then it would seriously be great for the adult business, the controversy & all that :2 cents: |

good for you, as I do :thumbsup |
xxx domains are way overpriced. It's not worth the extraordinary extra prices they want. Get a .com name. If the domain is taken change it a bit or add a number. Don't let the xxx bandits win your hard earned money.

Most people out of habit type .com.
so if you get such as a .xxx you will have people out of habit type .com so if you do not own the .com you will send hits to another site. Also .xxx sites are much easer to ban, and any system wanting to hide por sites will do so with ease. If it is a site such as a blog, then .xxx is less of a problem , but if it is a main site .com is more brandable. Plus a lot of affiliates have told me they only promote .com sites. |

And Gary shows you why you should go for the .com as if somone wanted to find his site they would get the dot com. |

stop hi jacking every ones threads & keep your personal attacks to yourself... or be banned ass wipe :2 cents: |
google has explicitly said they don't consider TLD in their algorithm
but as someone already pointed out in this thread, people will type ".com" out of habit. if you're trying to build a brand you want .com |

However, one suspects that such as google will if not now, will do at some point set it so .xxx sites show low down or not at all as advertisers will not want to be next to pornsites. but as Gary has informed us, even when you do a direct search for NatalieK it brings up the .com site that is not his. Most webmasters with half a brain would know that is bad. Think this way, somone sees a vid or pic with your site url on it, and types it in to google. Most will type with the .com on. And they will presume that is the site. At some universities they teach you as part of marketing to always have .com for this reason. It is not often I will say Gary is right. But today he has shown us correctly not having a .com is as a huge mistake. So don't be a Gary, get a .com. |
There are some xxx domain providers that are a lot cheaper than other too :2 cents::thumbsup

Other than my blog, the .com & my site, the .xxx, I have NatalieK.club, itīs just a social page with links, but is nice to have :thumbsup |
