How do you manage domains?
Considering I have many domains spread over various registrars, it is often frustrating to track everything.
So, I am looking for advice about some piece of software that will locally keep track of domain conditions. I've purchased Watch My Domains Pro v6, but honestly, it is not sophisticated and has missing useful features so I guess I won't use it |
I just have it in an excel file sorted by date and renew many months before they expire.. but I also get notifications from the registrars if one is about to expire soon.

Years ago I used a software called Efty. I took a look right now and it seems they have shifted the focus of their business to buying/selling domains, but if you create an account you might be able to use the portfolio option to list your domains and use for your own purposes.
I also bumped into this open source package a while back, but have not tested it myself: https://domainmod.org/ |
Spreadsheet where you include the registrar, dates, hostname. Makes it easy to sort and search.

for 100 domains and under it's free. - Monitor domains in .com, .org, .net, .info, .biz, and .us for impending expiration or for changes in status - Email alerts tell you when monitored domains are approaching expiration, or when other parameters such as registrar or domain status change - Dashboard allows you to organize your monitored domains in portfolios and quickly review Whois records, availability of the domain name in other TLDs |
I have excel so i know where i am hosting them, and sorted per country and category or WL solution and last time i updated the website.
The register always sent an email every day when to renew domains, with a list of the domains that expire the next 30 days. |

I don't, I let them expire.

Every domain registar send multiple notifications close to expiration date, no to the mention they also have auto renew. I never lost any domain tho i did forgot to renew for a day or two some less important domains.

I am getting a shitload of emails every day. Hundreds of unanswered, it is easy to miss some emails, at least for me.
So if I am using 4 different registrars, I have a feeling I don't know what's going on. Maybe because I have a shitload of useless domains :) Anyway, just wanted to have a clear picture in my head. This software works,it has all the info when retrieved but is badly optimized, wasting resources, not remembering window position, looking ugly, etc https://femdomdestiny.com/wp-content...23/12/xdff.jpg |

It may also be helpful to use one dedicated email box just for your domain management. I have most of my domains using one specific email address. I can then open that box and manage all domain business quickly, without it getting in the way of my normal day-to-day. |

Both Epik and Internet BS allow you to manage third party domains.
You don't need to have domains registered with them and there's no cost. Uniregistry used to have a really good third party domain manager too but looks like they got rid of it when they merged with GoDaddy. |

I mean it is not a big deal, I've never dropped a domain, just wanted to have things as easy as possible without any additional interaction |
1. Don't use [email protected] as contact info
2. Check email more than once a month If 2 things are too much: 1. Have a payment method on file and check the box next to "Auto-renewal", which is always checked everywhere anyway, unless you uncheck it. If 1 thing is too complicated and it's a name you know you're going to keep for a while, especially if it's an important site, register for the next ten years for ~$100. It's ridiculous even the number of giants I've seen over the years that have an expiry for the next year or even the same year. Just looked at a few huge names now, porn and non-porn. Hustler and Playboy's domains expire in the next six months and cams.com expires in less than 3 weeks time. Youtube, merely the #1 site on the internet by popularity/bandwidth, expires in less than two months and Gmail, Paypal, Amazon and other gigantic sites also all have expiry dates in 2024. What are they (Mark Monitor) doing, renewing every year? Meanwhile Pornhub and Chaturbate expire in 2027, OnlyFans in 2033. Likewise sex.com, which still maybe renews every year anyway to be on the safe side. |

I created my own database using Symfony (PHP).
I have all my domains in there with matching registrars, where they are hosted, IPs, renewal dates, renewal history (and pricing) and other project related information. I even hooked into some APIs to automatically update domain information. Took me about a day to build. It's not pretty but it works AND hooks into my other projects. |
