How to recruit cam models
 

Hello everyone. New person here. I read an article from a cam site owner who stated that the easiest and quickest way to get models on your site is to use an agency/studio. I keep searching for cam model agencies and I'm finding results, however when I go to the site, there is only an option to sign up or inquire about becoming a cam model. That's not what I want to do. I'm the webmaster and I'm trying to find a cam model supplier for my launch. Am I doing something wrong? How do you join the network of paying clients who want models ready to go on their site? Or...is it better to recruit models manually myself and start reaching out to them separately?

The "agencies" you found were probably affiliates trying to make model referral revenue.

If you're serious, click here: https://comup.info and you'll be able to find names/websites/contacts of real studios in Colombia. Don't waste anyone's time if you're not serious though.

I have 120+ models al latina and can get more, it would cost. I never out source my models though you can dm me.

When working with studios, you might run (most of the time) into a situation where it is not profitable to work with them. If you want to work with individual models, you have a higher chance of succeeding, but it would be a step-by-step approach. Approaching them individually takes the most time, but has higher results, as they can bring in their contacts.

Studios tend to ask for high hourly fees, but do not do the selling for you. Be aware when dealing with them.

Yes I'm realizing that I'll probably have better luck recruiting them myself. I just wanted guaranteed models ready to go on the day I re-launch as a cam site. I'm going to be paying for ads and I already have some organic traffic with free video content only. It's a niche site so I need older looking models specifically. I've learned in the last 24 hours that the agencies offer daily payouts which is enticing to the models. They charge a small percentage of course. I'm thinking of offering daily payouts on my site.

I need more than just latina models though. I need all kinds, as long as they are older looking. It's a niche site.

Many models are extremely upset about the notion that they are being "trafficked" for commission, believing that we, as webmasters, do not deserve commissions or any similar benefits.

I'm a stay at home mom lol I'm not interested in promotions or management. I have a sick domain name and I want it to be a milf cam site. I have no experience with any of this, I've never been a cam model nor do I ever plan on being one but I respect that hustle. I know it's an overly saturated market but I still think the money and opportunity is there. I'm just trying to generate some decent income from the web and I would eventually be interested in selling the site and moving on to a passion project.

If this isn't a passion product and you're not a (mature) model yourself, why restrict it to just mature? Just because of the domain?

I assumed you wanted to do a serious webcam site initially, then after you said it was niche, I assumed that at least you were into it and maybe running an established community and wanted to add cams to it.

Now it just sounds like you have a "mature" domain which gets some traffic, which depending on the amount could be mostly or entirely bots.

If that's really all you have, a domain, the suggestion above is not a bad one, particularly the recommendation of a cams.com cobrand (Black Label is whisky ;) ), which in my experience is by far better than any other site.

It's zero risk, zero expense, all design, models, billing, 2257, customer support is handled, and you'll be able to evaluate how good, or not good, your traffic is.

If you get no signups, then you dodged a bullet in not wasting time and money trying to start your own site, which is simply impossible with no experience, not even as a model, alone from your kitchen table in your spare time without lots of money to burn before you start to bring in revenue.

If you do get signups you won't even want the effort, expense and stress required to create a webcam site anyway, you'll just want to work on bringing in more converting traffic and developing 'real sites' around your cobrand/s, which I don't believe fare very well by themselves on search engines.

The amount of signups depends on your traffic which nobody can tell you.

How really "sick" is the domain anyway, BTW? Is it better than, say, MatureLivesex dot com? Or MatureHotsex.com, MatureBangers.com, MatureJoy.com? They're just a few 'mature' names that dropped in the past month, and there are many more good domains available under every niche, unregistered, for $10.

In any case, whatever you do (and TL;DR) forget altogether trying to set up a 'real' webcam site.

I really appreciate all of your input I will look into this and see if it's a route I'm willing to take. But the thing is, I've spent my whole adult life being a chicken shit and not a risk taker, and have let a bunch of really cool ideas fade away because I was scared. I'm 42 now and I'm done being a chicken shit. I want to make serious money and I'm willing to do the work and I have investors who can help me fund it. I want my own site. Free vids with ads and a cam section, all milfs. Right now it's just a very amateur design with some video content up and a decent amount of traffic considering I've done nothing to promote it or advertise it. But like you said, could be bots.

Why are you so adamant about a niche cam site failing?

Launching a camsite is probably one of the hardest things to do in adult.

You need simultaneous convergence of models and paying customers, or they will leave and probably not return.

I was at one time a CEO and CLO of a new camsite. The owners invested millions and it failed because they couldnt succeed with the convergence.

My suggestion is also to white/black label with an established camsite. They have the models already and you chose those that you are interested in appear on your site.

And you're going to basically make the same amount of money in the beginning. This will at least give you a chance to see if you can work on getting your own traffic and not have to worry about the models being there since they will be fed to you by the camsite.

If the domain name is as great as you say it is and you can generate traffic, you can then try to recruit models since you will already have a customer base and switch over.

And if it fails, you haven't spent as much trying to see if this is a viable camsite.

I would also recommend attending AVN / Internext in January in Vegas and start networking with camsites and models.

Just label it, save yourself going to a conference where everyone is drunk, promises you wild collaborations, and ends their talks with "let's skype"

I have worked for Studios (10 years) who told me "Ha, another sucker who needs to learn a lesson" sort of attitude. And on the side of cam platforms (7 years) who think they can influence with money the workers. Both sides were missing one thing, the keen attitude of a hard-working model who knows how to read statistics.

The same way models work on OnlyFans, you have to make a website that you optimize for keywords and provide information about web cams jobs, etc. on that page... the models will contact you.

As for your domain, I like it, but it sounds to me like a blog from a mom giving money saving or lifestyle ideas. I don't say that dismissively either, those kind of sites can make a lot of money, and a kind of adult variant of that is below.

Well traffic doesn't pay the bills. If you haven't made any $$$$ with the site then your traffic is either bots or worse: freeloaders. If you have made money then simply do more of what you've made money with.

You should be making the most of your domain though, which is memorable and brandable, and the brand is you, a variant of you or alter ego, a 'mom next door' and what adult sites you like, what sex toys you like, what sexual experiences you've had, real or imagined, what adult promos/discounts you've found for your readers/visitors/fans. Allow comments and maybe at some point a forum and build a community.

You can then have a "cams" subdomain with a white label (where subdomains are allowed).

Look around. If it's so easy to start and operate a webcam site why aren't more people doing it?

That's actually another option for you. Videosecrets is at vsmedia.com and Streamate is at cambuilder.com now, where you don't even have to do everything manually like before.

I kind of hate saying all this because although it's intended to give you other ideas to think about, it might be creating doubt, confusion and ultimately inertia, and I don't want you to feel like you've missed out on something else, but sticking with a risky idea just because it's something you've been planning without really knowing what's involved is probably worse than doing nothing.

Don't do nothing though. I can relate to having ideas and not completing or even starting them for whatever reason, and it totally sucks. If you really think you can do it or at least prefer to try it, after everything you've read, go for it. It may be better to regret what you've tried than what you haven't.

Save yourself the months long pain and eventual demise. Whitelabel your URL with a cam company and focus on marketing. Run it yourself and you will fail, guaranteed.

Start with on-demand content, profiles with links and tips. Then when performers create traffic schedule live shows to test and improve the platform. Then add live cams, because keeping it live and free is expensive.

Hi, what am getting from this thread is that live stream sites dont make money and are hard to start? if you have models and all you need is traffic is that viable?
