Drop in sales 2024
 

I've never seen a January this bad. Is anyone else experiencing low sales in the early days of 2024?

Everyone's broke because of the holidays. It'll bounce back in like a month when people start getting tax returns.

..My numbers still look pretty great so far, though.

It would be great to see some adult affiliates verify these trends.

I have to dispute this for January. Perhaps by the end of the month the above may be true but right after the Holidays people are looking for New Year's sales and discounts.

When I compare my paysite sales to last year I see the first week of January 2024 being almost exactly like the same time period from 2023 and 2022. (It spiked in 2021 because of Covid.)

But this week (so far) has been a disaster, in line with what the OP is asking. I even contacted CCBill to run test transactions because of the low overall activity. But this is only 3 days of the week (so far) so let's see how the week ends. But definitely strange.

Thanks for sharing your data. I was hoping program owners like you would chime in. I always see a big decline in sales this time of year, but I'm also selling a service and not porn memberships. On my model side, I see a giant uptick in lonely people after the holidays looking for connections.

Hoe hoe hoe... People emptied their bank accounts buying gifts and celebrating Christmas, those who received cash as a gift are spending it on escorts to get over the January blues.

January has been really disappointing, as I did really good from black week until new years eve.. traffic and clicks are the same so hopefully things will normalize soon :O

My conversion ratios are identical to December. There is a drop in traffic as I paused one of my biggest campaigns, I'll restart later in the month but with different targeting and rates.

I have less traffic now dunno why

The first week was pretty good but this week seems to be down 30%. Maybe those Christmas credit card bills are coming due. Lots of Declines with "Insufficient Funds."

Like everything, sales can ebb and flow so I don't get paranoid with bad days or even a bad week.
