Should I develop it? Can be a good brand?

What trademark issue? I think its based on logo type stuff.
I dont think you can trademark a regular word like "Cupid"

If that the case I can register any random word as trademark ,sue everyone who use that word in domain.

I was in contact with the original owner of cupid.com a while back and he said the domain has been Trade Marked

My understanding is you might have TM issues using the single word "CUPID" But if you use say "CUPIDCAM" Two or more words it should be fine .
