Whatsapp question

If I lost my SIM card and someone find it, will he be able to access my whatsapp account and read all my conversations?

CaptainHowdy 03-01-2024 04:07 PM

Haven't you called your service provider and blocked the SIM card ? ?

zawali 03-02-2024 11:48 AM

The SIM was not registred with my name which means I cannt block it or even restore it

How do you even lose a sim card?

And it has a PIN anyway.

Simply, it depends on who yours will find your SIM card ... if guessed PIN can activate whatsapp
account in his phone, but you receive a message that is whatsapp used on another device. If you only have local communications backups on your phone may hardly read your old messages... but once someone writes to you, can communicate on your behalf :) everything provided all contacts, etc. you have stored on your phone not on SIM card...
recommendation is only one, not to lose SIM cards, to 99% if you lose the SIM card - you will lose with the phone :)

may i ask before going further with your situation & the restrictions & abilities to stop this others using it...

how could you lose a sim card and not your phone?

ok, if you´ve lost your phone & sim card, you can get whats app on your pc & go to there help center, email & message them, download the app on the laptop, you can also check if any messages have been intervened by other people...

is less worry than losing the phone with all your content on there :thumbsup

still wondering, how to lose a sim card with not losing your phone :upsidedown

wishing you luck :thumbsup

how would they access anything with a sim card

zawali 03-07-2024 10:06 AM

I took the SIM card from the phone to put another one, and because the SIM is something very small I lost it, this is how I lost it.

I went to my service provider as you suggested and I asked them to give me a new SIM with the same phone number, they refused at the beginning because the SIM was not linked to my name, but I showed them that the phone number is linked to my gmail I use on my phone and to my whatssup too as a proof I'm the owner of this phone number, then they accepted, and I recovered my lost phone number.
