quite a price increaase too from a 230$ script, to 730$

I used two different glasses; one for the computer and the other for diving and normal wear.

The normal wear glasses are bi-focal and suck for reading the computer.
My computer glasses suck for driving and even walking to the fridge.

Unless you got designer frames you can get those for about $50 and regular lens glasses for $6 including frames.

I hated progressives, got tired of tripping over shit and grazing the wall down hallways.

I have the progressive lens with photo sensitivity for driving and basic wear.

They work like this :

I think the photo sensitivity may be helping me in night traffic when people have bright headlights;
because since getting these glasses I noticed that I don't flash my own headlights to get them to turn their lights down.

:2 cents:

I have astigmatism so all of this toying around with progressive and bifocal just makes me dizzy to the point I want to barf.

GoCastaway 03-07-2024 04:56 AM

I have the same, takes 1-2 weeks and then you are used to it.

czarina 03-07-2024 06:05 AM

Don't they make you dizzy? My mom tried to go from Bifocals to Progressive and couldn't handle it

For me, progressives were weird at first. Everything looked curved around the edges, and it made me feel drunk to look around. After a few days though I got used to it.

I think I will go for laser eye surgery this year. I fucking hate wearing glassess...

I need them since 3 years for computer work :(

I bought 3 different and seems i like the computer glasses best.

"Computer glasses are task-specific eyeglasses customized to your prescription and specifically made for computer work. They’re meant to be worn when sitting at your computer because they’re designed for optimal viewing at that distance. "

Next time i will buy a ultra light version.

Reading glasses are annoying behind the screen.

i got 2nd prescription for computer wear, another $430, plus another $200-$300 frames at lenscrafters.

i bought a cheap pair at eyebuydirect for $30, as the last pair i got from them were decent.

ill use my current for everythign else, ive had my screen at 1920x1080 instead of 3840x2160
