Having Excel write to FileMaker Pro

Has anyone ever done this?
I can get FMP to write to Excel But not the other way. Anyone have a clue on how to make that work?

FMP should be able to import CSV?

(wow blast from the past, I built Filemaker databases in the 90s)

Yeah we are messing with an old system but its just a good way to do it. :)

What I need is that a remote person access the Excel sheet and make changes and those changes reflect in the Filemaker system.

The system is a bit older and FileMaker does things excel can not. So we kind of need it to work.

In the long run I will replace Filemaker but wanted a work around until I can.

excel can read csv? i would jus use csv on both ends and have a shared document somewhere like google docs or dropbox.

I bet I could figure it out, I spent a lot of time working on encoding and decoding JSON to various formats and had issues like this at the beginning. Probably something to do with your delimiters.
