Ashley Madison Documentary on Netflix

When a dating site for people seeking adulterous affairs is hacked, millions of users' intimate data is exposed, wrecking marriages and destroying lives.

Just seen part 1 and very interesting.
Evan Back performing great on screen.

I need to make some time to watch that!

I remember when that story hit the news. It was too funny (sad) because people were outraged at all the "cheaters" and wanted them to be punished by having their real names exposed. As if people can't use Tinder or any other dating app or site to cheat.

But, people loved to be outraged and feel morally superior and it only takes someone in the media to try to stir something up.

Wasn't it confirmed the site was 99.99% male and filled with fake female profiles after the hack. I'm surprised they're still in business after all that bad publicity.

And even more surprised by all suckers who keep paying for a membership.

Have seen all 3 parts.
Was a good documentary with different view points.
Sad people killed themselves when the data was out.
Religious institutions checking if their employees where on the list and fire them.

Going down and cashing 20 usd from people that want their account deleted.
While the database was already on the darkweb...

That youtube vlogger need better acting lessons.

The question still is: who did it?

I am not Netflix fan but I will give a try to watch this.

Just started part 2... Not as good as 'The 8 Show' though... Lot more poo in that :2 cents:

How come they didn't rename it Smashley Madison?

If the ratio of men/women was really around 5000/1, i think it mostly affected women

No self-respect

I would guess that most of Ashley Madison's current users just don't remember or weren't aware of the hack since it was 9 years ago.

I wonder if the documentary will affect that.

Rename the site Ashson Madiley and everything is fine

This is very typical of paid membership dating sites
