WTF? Visa requires “content removal” tab?

…..or “content reporting” dedicated page. WTF? Anyone has an issue with this ? Is this only USA thing?

Content reporting is a must now. We have to send report to service provider even there is no report.

celandina 06-07-2024 02:29 AM

In our case it is US payment processor. What is the nature of a “content report” ??

Smaller guys will be getting squeezed out, again... And the consolidation will continue.

Where did you see that?

Anyone processing with Visa/MC needs to have a link (not hidden away) on site saying 'content removal' or similar with info on how any user can request unauthorized, or potentially illegal content be requested to be removed.

Any reports must be passed onto the billing companies with the action/outcome of the report taken and that I guess will be passed onto Visa to check out.

Some billers have requested this be in place for a while now but ultimately, its a Visa thing but I guess this is aimed more at 'user uploaded' content even though if affects paysites heavily.

Anyone getting more than an usual amount of requests will prob get there billing cut off.

Thats my understanding but I may be wrong.

Yep. This is the new rule. Visa/MC thinks every site is a fan site or tube now.

Colmike9 06-07-2024 09:00 AM

I'm guessing it's to comply with some safe harbor laws.

SpicyM 06-07-2024 09:40 AM

Hasn't this been required for about 2 years already - since the Pornhub scandal?

celandina 06-07-2024 09:57 AM

Where did you see that?

Got an e mail from our payment processor.

Yes but now Visa is cracking down since around February of this year.

The new rules - as far as I understand them, which isn't very far it seems - were put into place mostly for mainstream Visa merchants. There is a section for Adult but the language is extremely vague. Now many sites (mine included) are adding new language, pages, links to try and comply with Visa. It's not about 2257 but Visa doesn't give a shit about that fact.

Visa is the puppet master and we must all dance when it pulls our strings. :helpme

mechanicvirus 06-07-2024 10:41 AM

So potentially this can be weaponized where a site gets enough false reports that VISA shuts it down and the onus is on the paysite to rectify it? If anyone could school me on that, would be much appreciated.

celandina 06-07-2024 11:07 AM

Just revewed a bunch of major legit sites. They all have pages of legalese dealing with this. Most refer to DMCA and copyright infringers ( I call this a good thing), some to underage stuff ( we all have USC 2257, so just a duplicate….so be it), some to blackmail , ex girlfriend and revenge stuff. But I am sure there would be some : “ My Johnny, does not want to eat dinner, he just wants to eat pussy….” Or shit like that. So, if somebody wants to screw you ( unhappy customer, compettitor) they can weaponize this. The only recourse the website has is to threaten a legal action against a frivolous complaints. That leaves a “little guy” out and financially exposed.I think a sad day for the legit adult business.

Visa is requesting a complaint form. A contact form alone is not satisfactory.

Kiss the benefit of a model release goodbye...

Thanks GDP / Manwin / Aylo...

Which kind of makes the endless uploading of docs meaningless.

It will only get worse as more countries push VISA to adopt the Model's request model of business. Giving content owners a limited time before it is open to take down by the models or face legal action.
