Client failed to pay $23k for programming work on OF/Twitter/Twitch clone. Who wants to buy it?
 

As the title says... Was hired to come in and implement essentially Twitch streaming into his Twitter meets OnlyFans meets Twitch social network and then stiffed me on the work done.

My fault for letting my guard down and accepting work in this shady fucking industry and not protecting myself with contracts, but he also never protected himself.

So I'm selling the whole codebase to whoever wants to buy it.

Built in Laravel, Inertia, Vue and Tailwind CSS.

Not sharing anything else about it in public, so serious buyers only DM me and I'll gladly share more including screenshots.

Is this something ready to host and populate with content and ready to go or a work in progress?

How much of this project, if any, incorporates work from the person who did not pay their bill?

It has in my opinion some fixes that need to be in place but for the most part it is basically ready to go. You'd probably want to change the design and branding.

Yes it does include work by them, I mean if the buyer doesn't want their stuff but only my stuff, I can package that out myself, but it's mostly just streaming stuff.

Lot of it delegates to 3rd parties that can be used if the buyer wants, but I'd recommend we work together to rewrite it from the ground up to rely less on the 3rd parties (for example, notifications can be done in Laravel itself, but they opted to use a 3rd party)

Depending on how the buyer wants to take things, we have two options: You buy the code as is, or you buy it as a POC and we work together to rebuild it to your needs using this codebase as a spec, to protect you as the buyer from being hit with any IP issues.

How is Inertia ?

Ive been loving livewire and alpine, haven't fucked with Inertia

FWIW I think this product idea could be huge and the right person moving fast on it could take a lot of marketshare in the social place.

It's literally a clone of Twitter, where you can post content to free users, followers only and paid, just like Onlyfans, and there's a concept of streaming where users can come watch you live on stream, you can even invite your viewers to join you on stream (not even Twitch has this ability).

The idea is basically most performers have to market themselves on Twitter but Twitter doesn't have a way to deliver premium content, but OnlyFans doesn't have a way to give preview or free content, so you have to post that on Twitter and then funnel people to your OF to subscribe, and if you want to stream to your fans, you have to use chaturbate or myfreecams or something because Twitch doesn't allow nudity or adult content.

This platform bridges them all together and could become the next big thing.

If I don't find a buyer I may just rewrite it from the ground up myself and launch it, but I really don't want to neglect my mainstream business to build another adult business, so I'd rather sell the code.

I'm more of a Livewire/Alpine guy myself these days, but for the past decade I've been dick and balls deep in the React ecosystem, so if you like React/Vue for a frontend but the robust power of Laravel on the backend, Inertia is great.

If you don't want to use React though, instead of Inertia I'd probably recommend Hybridly.dev (but I'm biased as my friend made it)

I haven't messed with React much, just hasn't been in my stack for years.

Livewire is great. I'm completely rebuilding my ~10,000 member community from Next.js/Django app to a Livewire/Laravel app.

Also just so everyone is aware, I don't really want to sell this but I wasted 231 hours working on this, I've already written off the money as a loss and just want to recoup some of my time and that lost money. So if a $199 codecanyon script is sufficient for you, by all means, go get it.

I'm not selling a script, nor am I looking for multiple buyers. I'm looking for someone who is interested in making this social media app a reality and wants a jump start.

Sounds like a stupid fucking waste of time, have you heard of manyvids or many other platforms besides onlyfans and twitter... the platform itself means nothing, its the models and traffic you can get using the platform... and anyone would be stupid to pay anything more than maybe 1,500$ at best, vs. buying something on codecanyon and modifying what's needed, without looking I'm sure that there's at least 3 scripts on codecanyon that does everything your sUpEr CuStoM 23,0000$$$$ bullshit does

You should've asked the client to pay you 50% of the deal, cause even without contracts and just plain handshake it would work. How about you find a cofounder to do the marketing work, just launch it to fuck around and find out if it can work.

Maybe think about staying on as the programer and getting a cut of the profits. Best of luck to you
