Moyes has worked in adult entertainment since the 1990s, starting in San Francisco and relocating to LA.

Jay joined AVN's art and archives department in 1999. He became production manager before leaving.

Moyes and Sherry Ziegelmeyer founded Black and Blue Media, an adult industry publicity firm.

After Sherry’s cancer death in 2020, he closed the firm and founded High Octane Heart.

High Octane Heart Media and PR, led by Jay, serves small adult businesses.
