Writing a resume for the first time in 27 years

Starting as a web designer and evolving into a full stack developer, I now manage multiple projects as a seasoned project manager. With 27 years of experience, I bring a rare combination of technical development expertise, creative design skills, and leadership. I ensure projects not only look great and work flawlessly but are also delivered on time.

cant help but think that "27 years' wont be taken as it should be.
Unfortunatley the company I work for is collapsing ..

27 years could potentially make you come off as outdated, so maybe change it to "with 27 years (or just 'years') in a rapidly changing online environment..."

something that indicates you have long term experience but aren't stuck in the late 90's

provide refs (which can be available on request) in your work history timeline, to demonstrate your adaptation to new challenges/skills attained over all that time

most adult co's have pretty non-adult biz names. they don't need to say you made porn sites or whatever if you're seeking work in mainstream. that's not relevant, rather it's just about what skills you bring to the table. use your time in your field(s) to prove to prospective employers that you are skilled and can adapt as the net changes

good luck

for 10 years ive been in charge of hiring developers at the company I work for and I would not hire me in an interview situation lmao ... so I may have a hard go here.

I may be unhirable, in my current state haha

I don't mention the adult years, which ... if you know my history is pretty fucking ironic.
I don't mention building some of the biggest sites on earth lol

The adult years don't exist in my career path, even tho it was nearly 15 years on top of the heap in what was , at the time, the most competitive online market..

My coworkers have some idea that I used to do "something" in porn.. but no specifics :1orglaugh

This *might* be of interest to you...

Extrapolate the info & replace 'youtube' with 'porn' & like I say, it might be of some use - Especially the way he approaches the CV itself :thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

Just refer to it as “online marketing and sales” or “performance marketing” and you’ll be fine.

Good luck on your job hunt! Hopefully somebody is smart enough to scoop you up. I remember the killer designs you made for me way back when I first started. I’m confident your other tech skills are top tier as well. Remain confident in your abilities!

Don't put dates, just the experience, in this order:

project manager: stuff you did, name brands

full stack dev: stuff you did, name brands

web design: stuff you did, name brands

personal stuff...favorite food, pronouns, etc.

references on request.

Took me a while to shake the adult years off and build up some non-adult stuff. Now that I've been out of adult since 2012 it's much easier and I've been more open and vocal about my adult time.

I'm also unemployable, so I guess being vocal about that won't hurt me.

Good luck. Doubt you'll need it.

I don't find that stating the amount of experience you have hurts in any way. I've been in the industry for over 32 years. I'm proud of that - those looking at me do not see it as a negative but rather that you've learned - grown and experienced enough to know when there is a problem you've likely faced it and have solutions. If not you sure know where and how to find them.

If anyone sees that as a negative then why would they hire newbies - to me - they dont want to spend money on expertise

That's a great intro, brief and concise. Not sure if I'd use the same colour for the font, but the intro is great! :P

Thank you!
I am confident in my skill set, its wide, and rare to have someone that can develop full stack, also design.

What makes me unsure, is that when I look in the mirror, I see an old man
I was just a young buck for my last resume.

It's the price of fame. Can't go a good career in anything without at least one fruitloop on your tail.

He's probably only tryin' to outlive ya, so he can do a sit-in at your funeral.
