So, who reembers the old days?

When you could at all trust whoever actually owned anything?

I mean, it's not like ANY company in the porn industry, that anyone can say, will step up and admit who actually owns it?

I can name 100's. I'm sure everyone else can. Yet, it's still an unknown.

Why?

There's a big difference between wanting to do something and not being able to.

Who thinks that way?

I remember the old, old, old, old days...

Selling smut clandestinely, on 8mm cine film, before video was even a thing!

But I digress. Why do you want to know who owns stuff?

The old days when i had to go to a stationary store just to read a playboy mag?

Cool.

Worked for Al Goldstein and Screw for a few months. There were classified ads for those films, maybe.

And, remember when adult non-nude models earned $$.

I remember the ol days - I"ve been around for 32 years
since then many old companies have been sold or merged but I still have hanging around the Phoenix Forum adult industry guide that had everyone in it - yet even today most of those names are either gone - moved on or rarely speak today

I remember babylon-x, madthumbs, and a few others from back in the day, but now the names are escaping me. Too bad archive.org is currently down.

My buddy put all the computers in school to Ultra-passwords as a prank and the poor IT teacher got in so much shit for it. I think I was 15 or 16 then.

Just before Archive was being attacked I was talking on Twitter with some people about scaling applications and they were all raging about how hard it is and I was like "what we used to run shoddy ass PHP on $100/mo dedicated boxes to half a million daily active users" and I was pulling up some of my old sites, including my very first domain, which was around the time I found CFUS and you and Josh, and man I got nostalgic as fuck looking at brain-damaged and system-overload.

RIP Josh.
