Crypto Payment Processor

I'm involved in the development in a crypto payment system, whilst we work on this, Im realizing it would likely translate well to Adult..

Is there a reason this hasn't really become a thing yet?

There are some in the UK but from listening Americans don't use crypto to pay for porn rather they hold onto it and instead stick with CC

Not even webcam studios overseas will accept crypto for payment so unless you're a casino there isn't much in the way of spending - and in 32 years in the industry I've only been paid once in crypto from a casino but that was 15 years ago

kuprum 10-28-2024 09:27 AM

it seems to me.... about 10 such payment systems work and accept adult traffic. What is the difficulty? )

fuzebox 10-28-2024 09:29 AM

- porn buyers don't use crypto
- bitcoin sucks for instant and small transactions
- rebills actually make the adult industry possible

If the day ever comes when Visa and Mastercard stop processing, I believe it could actually be quite beneficial.

we think weve got this sorted out.. I knew it was a big one

To the same point as a CC ... if theres no money there its declined, but recurrence is not a problem

Ive also considered this.. basically we'd be betting on visa and MC pulling out..
Which will never happen.

they posture but...

I do think we have a viable product here, just wondering about application, and maybe adult doesnt fit... yet

why would you need a processor for bitcoin?

If you do make sure you also have prebuilt integrations for existing cms scripts, for example KVS, and such. Looking at nowpayments.io right now, they have docs for this, but as someone who is non-technical, I always have to outsource. Just makes it that much easier when something like this is easily ready to use for most existing cms. Makes the decision process easy as well.

Only a small percentage of people would use crypto for adult payments, and rebilling poses a major hurdle. Even if you found a workaround, it wouldn’t operate like traditional rebilling—it would likely feel confusing and cumbersome, which would further limit its appeal. It wont work.

ive done payments for my own scripts but ive never relied on a processor like coinbase etc, or another exchange, works for hardware wallets too.

Not sure - I just happen to be involved in the development of a similar service, and when I left adult, billing problems were on going with visa and MC, so wanted to gauge interest.. perhaps its not a fit here.

Not using "work-arounds" using block chain functionality, seamless and automated.

Anyway, doesnt sound like there's any application in adult, I just thought perhaps it could translate well... when I left the industry there was a lot of interest in crypto payments, perhaps its waned

thats why i mentioned this for adult, using blockchain tech to do it, vs actual payment processors that allow adult, like ive used bitpay, coinbase for processors before but its been mainstream sites.

My adult membership sites were the first to accept crypto.

Every time we get a working crypto processor for any length of time, it is profitable, sometimes very profitable.

Unfortunately, they never last. Either they stop working with adult or they steal the crypto or they implement KYC incompetently or they misplace hundreds of millions of dollars worth of their own crypto or some combo.

I'm super interested in crypto solutions, so please feel welcome to reach out to me directly at bluebloodsupport [at] Gmail

thats why working directly through blockchain tech would be the best solution standone not needing one vs using bitpay api or other ones api for adult.

install btcpay server. It's software that you can use to accept Bitcoin. It's fully controlled by you and not any third party. Since it's controlled by you no one can ban you or steal your Bitcoin. Don't use sites like coinbase because they have the same TOS as paypal on adult content.

It requires some skill to setup but once you got it setup it's amazing software.

Best answer this ! :thumbsup
There are even hosting companies who host bitcoin servers with minimum info, such as : https://www.lunanode.com/
After server setup and configure, the only thing need is a programmer to built the bridge between server and software as a plugin/module.
