If he would have been mine , I think I would of '' euthanized '' a few of those responsible :2 cents: |
My neighbors had two raccoons growing up. They were a lot of fun.
I cannot imagine why having a squirrel is an issue. |
Looks very communist

so squirrels are ok to run around the neighbourhood in NY, but god forbid you home one and love it dude wasn't breeding colonies of squirrels ffs, he had a damn pet couldn't believe this was against the law in NY so looked it up, apparently it is. squirrels are banned along with giraffes and rhinoceroses interesting ferrets are on the verboten list as well, quite a few of my friends had ferrets growing up gerbils I could at least understand as they spread the black plague (it wasn't rats as many think) but nope, they're ok in NY. I had two of those growing up, I loved those little death machines very much RIP Peanut. what a totally unnecessary situation :/ |
did a bit more reading cuz killing time til my friends pick me up
so Peanut was killed because he bit someone involved in the kidnapping. if someone was trying to steal me from my home I'd bite them too apparently there's no rabies vaxx available for squirrels, so a titre test (a test to prove an animal has enough rabies antibodies to be safe) wouldn't apply. I'm familiar with titre tests, my cats always needed one as part of the pre-travel vet visits when moving to new nations. those tests plus vaxx records proved they didn't have rabies without their heads needing to be chopped off apparently there is no known case of squirrel to human transmission of rabies. simply put, not recognized as carriers what I suspect mucked things up here was dude also had a raccoon, which are susceptible to rabies I'm not excusing NY state, still epic bullshit. just the two unvaxxed animals, one of which is part of a species known for rabies, gave them the excuse as a pet parent there is a high duty of care to protect the lil ones I truly hope this doesn't sound like I'm blaming the dude. he's no doubt devastated and hindsight is 20/20 with 10 mins of reading NY state could have realized Peanut was no risk. so fuck them. just the living situation gave them the excuse |
Squirrels are extremely popular right now for pets
|
This is why you don't let anyone in/on your property without a warrant.
|
We need to start euthanising more social media ‘stars’.

They killed their golden goose . . .

I'm sorry to hear that. Pets are the best friends

The Department responsible has a Twitter account and the comments suggest folks don't support the government having the time and taxpayer resources to conduct a five hour raid to murder a pet squirrel https://x.com/NYSDEC Alas, PNUT was not helping market OF. He was helping fund an animal sanctuary charity. https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-p...s-freedom-farm |
he bit someone and broke the skin. i think him bringing the racoon in started this. GREED! he had p'nut 7 years...

Environmental police stormed in, seized a rescued orphan squirrel named P'Nut, took him away, and put him down. All because his owner allegedly didn't have the right license. That's right: In New York you need a license to shelter injured wildlife and provide them a home. |
And this is why you don't put shit on the Internet. Had the owner not put the squirrel on the net, he'd still be alive today. Some things are just better when it's not on the net.
