I'm quite concerned after receiving an email, blackmailing me. I wonder if I should pay the money or go to the police. Any advice would be much appreciated. I didn't think the videos I was jerking off to were controversial. All the animals involved seemed to be consenting.


Here is the email I've just received:

I received the same emails on daily basis, they are spam used with ai. If you do not see your full name and even then i wouldn't be worried. Make sure you got diff password for everything you got. Ive been using bitwarden for password manager. Youll see more and more crafted stuffs like this try your best to not panic with it.

Oh dear god - seriously? everyone gets that email from time to time. Ask yourself do you really watch animal porn?
anyways - increase your computer virus - spyware and malware - personally I use ESET Nod32 Antivirus but also have a few other ones - then I have 3 backup drives external - add that to Microsoft Defender.

All that being said - report it - block it and don't worry about it. NOTE make sure the security is on your email program too..

That's a relief. It didn't have my name on it. It just said Dear Sir/Madam. So most likely a scam. I'll update my anti virus software and will lay-off the animal porn for a few weeks.

I don't normally watch animal porn but it just popped up and I was intrigued and got a bit too excited. I think it might be a scam so I won't pay them the money. And I'll try to avoid the animal porn in future, just in case...

If you view the source code of the email they usually scramble the email with news articles and other evasive techniques. Seen some very clever tricks.
