Peacock has a $20 yearly deal as well.

looks nice to me :)

thats with ads though right?

JayMoyes 12-22-2024 02:34 PM

What gets me as funny is this started as a FREE streaming service. Remember that whole "because we're aliens" campaign?

And I remember when Sherry decided to pay for Hulu for a brief time. I was like, and they STILL have ads? WTF?

I'm an awful consumer. But it feels like I'm not the only one that doesn't need constant sources of entertainment or "content."

This is the second golden age of television. The amount of content - TV shows and movies - being created is staggering.

I watch movies and TV from home, but it's best if I am watching something I've seen before. Right now I am just finishing watching all of the Bond movies from start to finish. But when I go to the gym I watch new stuff, two - four hours a day. There is so much to watch and some of it is just fantastic.

The problem with services such as HULU is, they were initially touted as a cheaper, ad-free alternative to cable television, but now to get the same stuff we'd get on cable, we have to spend 3-4x as much and still get bombarded with ads lol

Check out Korean movies on Netflix, they are suprisingly good. A lot of good stuff coming out of Europe as well. Content is overwhelming, but there are still some dynamite gems out there, including Russion productions.

You go to the gym two to four hours a day? You're a monster! Damn.
