R.I.P. Jon Berg

For any old school peeps here, Jon Berg from Matrix Content is on hospice with his cancer battle.

For anyone who knows Jon, they know him to be a hardworking, loyal, hot headed, loving friend.

His family has set up a gofundme to help. --> LINK

Thank you and FUCK CANCER!

JesseQuinn 12-15-2024 05:44 PM

wishing him and all his loved ones peace in a difficult time

Zuzana Designs 12-15-2024 05:46 PM

I hate to see posts like this and did a lot of business with him back in the day. RIP Jon.

CaptainHowdy 12-15-2024 06:28 PM

This one should be a sticky thread . . .

Too bad for some man I dont know

TheAmericanCannibal 12-15-2024 08:58 PM

Sad days for sure. I’ve known Jon over 23 yrs. He really gave this fight his all

Major (Tom) 12-15-2024 11:33 PM

Very sad

pornlaw 12-16-2024 01:50 AM

Dont know him but my heart goes out to him and his family.

I used to live in West Hills for years as well... and developed a blood cancer related to the cancer he has... which I have been fighting for 13 years.

My dog I had in West Hills also died of blood cancer.

Chatsworth, Simi Valley, West Hills, Woodland Hills, Porter Ranch and areas close by have all been affected by the nuclear meltdown at the Santa Susana Reactor.

If anyone here lived in that area for an extended period of time... go get tested.

Thanks everyone for your support and kind words. The gofundme has been fully funded, so if anyone here donated, thank you!

He was a baseball dad and 2 other parents of the team also got the same cancer and died within 2 years. This was back around 2015. They tried to do a class action lawsuit, but you're a lawyer so you know how that went.

That entire area has high levels of different cancers especially blood cancers that can have a link to exposure to radiation.

Whats sad is that it was never cleaned up and never will be.

Anyone living in that area really needs to monitor this.

Ive never heard of a lawsuit over exposure this being successful.

Brad Mitchell 12-16-2024 01:11 PM

Gosh this so terrible and scary. I really wish him and everyone affected a successful treatment, where possible, and peace otherwise. No words.

Brad

Unfortunately 99% of people do not know that all tobacco smokers have radioactive polonium right in their blood...

RIP Jon Berg and fuck cancer.

had watched that vid when you posted it. did notice in the GFM it mentioned two others in the community succumbed to the same thing. for a rare form of cancer that struck me as unusual

familiar with cancer for reasons not pertinent here plus I goog'ed that specific type, just saying certain forms just run in one's fam and can be cut out. this not true for that type, and blood flow no doubt envelopes other organs over time

you've mentioned cancer before, didn't know what type. stay strong with yours

that vid was just...

didn't want to write anything so as to not detract from Mr Berg's condition but ok I guess since OP addressed it

what a travesty. echoing PL in getting tested if you live in those areas. unreal these class actions go nowhere. not like it prevents people from getting sick though either way

aw man, I'm so sorry

you posting the link here was an honour to your friend. I'm sure the funds will help with the burial and helping the fam handle life in the immediate aftermath. 54 is young, his children must be too even though 'grown'

sounds cold to say but when a relatively younger man passes after a prolonged illness the fam needs love AND money. it's really not cold, just helping those he loved most. suspect the GFM helped on both

not just financially but in terms of lives he touched. best legacy ever

you wrote about him beautifully here. know in death you did his fam a solid. losing a loved one whether related or not so hard. you did it so right

imob-nl 12-17-2024 07:45 AM

Rest in Peace, Jon

thank you for the kind words. Jon's kids are in their early 20's. He loved being a father since he didn't have one growing up and I know he would have loved being a grandfather.

Matrix Content, the industry leader at a time when I didn't even know what white balance is...

RIP Jon

Alex21 12-19-2024 02:42 AM

Didn't have the pleasure of knowing Jon, but remember Matrix Content very well. Respect and RIP.

RIP Jon

bhutocracy 12-19-2024 01:47 PM

RIP, Matrix Content was the first place I ever purchased content from back in the pre-historic dinosaur era.

NETbilling 12-19-2024 07:03 PM

Jon was a great guy. I had many rounds of golf with him, did some business, and many drinks in the past. It's so sad to see so many of our industry peeps passing the past several years. Breaks my heart. :-(

Tasty1 12-19-2024 10:25 PM

I must have some Matrix Content on a disk somewhere.

R.I.P. Jon
