Adult Wordpress Hosting

Any suggestions/experiences with providers for adult Wordpress hosting.

Namecheap look like they don't permit adult content. Anyone found this to be enforced?

I work in both adult website development and mainstream website development. Mainstream hosts, like Namecheap, will never allow adult content. They're cheaper, but they have no interest in dealing with any negative association, and that means high risk industries like adult are no-go.

Although it will be more expensive (honestly it's really not that expensive,) you really need a host that specializes in adult content. There are only two that I would recommend at the moment: Vacares and MojoHost.

I know for a fact that Vacares offers hosting for exactly what you're looking for, and I have personally used their system to manage WordPress and the associated updates in a very efficient and automated way for clients in the past. I also know that MojoHost offers something similar for WordPress webmasters.

Either way, you will get a better, more personable experience than with a mainstream host. Mainstream hosts will used shared environments and oversell them. Adult hosts are a bit more interested in keeping things contained, so I think you'd be looking at a virtual private server. These adult hosts offer a better class of product, and it shows. Even with mainstream clients, I still recommend these hosts.

You can find my affiliate links to them on my website, or if you prefer, you can talk to the owners who are both on gfy. I'm sure they'll chime in at some point.

Ok ty I will take a look. Would the Namecheap no-adult restriction also apply to a domain name registration do you think?

Domain name registrations are different. Although I affiliate for Namecheap for clients, I prefer to have my domains with Porkbun and I've never had issues with them and adult-oriented names.

I believe that Vacares offers domain name registrations, too, if you are concerned. I just checked and Mojo offers domains too.

Not sure why people even consider Namecheap for hosting, Namecheap is for domains, I'd never use a domain registrar for hosting (and vice versa).

There are plenty of options, I use Mojohost and a few others.

Managing a VPS, let alone a dedicated server, is a seriously difficult task. Sys admins get paid a lot of money to do it, so it's really a wise decision in the long run to hire a managed host and pay for that service. Best left to the experts.

A few options to check out ty. Anyone aware of feedback about SSD Nodes?

Are you comfortable in the command line / tech side of things? I've been self-hosting on AWS for years, they've really made things pretty simple now, especially with Lightsail

HostedinVegas 01-09-2025 03:54 AM

Morning,
SSDNodes is a total joke, you have to pay three years to get those prices. What are you skill sets if your looking to a vps/dedicated? What are your needs? If your just starting out small, https://Namecrane.com those guys are amazing, based in Vegas, powerful servers, very affordable, and adult friendly.

Now a new toy that I have been testing out that so far has been killing it, is https://xcloud.host its a panel that you put ontop of your Ubuntu 24 vps. It does all the heavy lilfting for you, its designed for Wordpress, I have the Litespeed version setup, its free for one vps. Currently I have a Linode 1GB setup and it is powering a few generic demos I have and it is fast as all getup.

Generic Woocommerce demo: mycompanysites.com to test speed.

Thanks,
Anthony

You can also go with hostinger. If you need any help in website design or development, we can help you.

jim101 01-21-2025 02:19 PM

Mojohost have been mentioned a few times. It looks like CPanel is available as an option, at extra cost I assume. Otherwise all server tasks would need to be done via SSH, is that correct?

HostedinVegas 01-22-2025 07:22 AM

Morning,
A control panel such as cPanel, DirectAdmin, and others will allow you to replace if you will the most common and used features such as creating account, domains, emails, things of that nature.

SSH Skills are never a replacement for a control panel, but for hosting needs especially in the shared and reseller world, it makes things a million times easier.

Thanks,
Anthony
