Says here there are still ongoing attacks on US forces from Saddam loyalists. Since Bush can now get in a flight suit and do aircraft carrier grandstanding, maybe he should go back over personally and finish them off since he's the one who said the war was over.

What was announced was the "End of Major Combat Operations in Iraq", not the "end of the war". That means the 4th Infantry Division isn't chasing down T72s for sport anymore. It means Tomahawk missiles aren't raining down on the homes of Baghdad baddies anymore. It means that B1s are no longer dropping their cargo on the will-never-be-called-elite-again Republican Guard.

The usual band of snipers, hoodlums, and hooligans are still out there and will be for a while. No one has said yet otherwise.
