The format is still valid, but it would not work in the same way as it did in the past - Who are you going to play the circle jerk game with?..

It would basically just be a site that you would develop like any other and hope that you get smiled on by the search engine gods.....

If you´re sending your traffic to the right places, yes, this old school page would work, you´ll get traffic & send your traffic to the right place & get the sale...

picture sites do extremely well, i found more on site time on pic sites than video.
