& What's wrong with that? I for one would enjoy the chance to explore the character of Hermione as a black transexual, and I'd enjoy feeling pride and empathy for all the wheelchair using hogwarts students, as they refuse to use magic to heal themselves, in support of all the muggles who cannot...
It could well be a fantastic take on a tale as old as time - I mean, at the root of the story, Harry is a 'Wizard' - He is 'Special' - & what kid doesn't want to feel special?
As such, I think it would be a great idea if they did away with the 'magic' part of the story entirely in the reboot - That way it would be more accessible to children...
Its only the closed minded that dont want this. They want the exact same story, made in the exact same way, over and over again - Yet when its a hollywood blockbuster, remaking the same story, these are the same people who complain.
I love Harry Potter, dont get me wrong, but would 'Harriet Potter' not just bring the story to life a bit better?
